I know there's another thread out there about this, but there's new info that I think needs a fresh thread.

Harmonix is listening. You heard me. They're aware that we want the TF:TM soundtrack as DLC for Rock Band.

This is an email I got from a contact I have at Harmonix:
They are listening, and if we organize, we can truly get what we want.
If we're really serious about it, we can make it happen. The crew at Harmonix is driven by the fans, and if we're willing to support them, they're willing to give us damn near anything that'll make us happy.

Follow that link to the Ultimate Set list page, or directly to this thread.

Here are a few ideas to post in that thread:

Please add the following tracks from the TF:TM 86 movie as DLC for Rock Band2:
    Instruments of Destruction by N.R.G.
    Dare by Stan Bush
Nothin's Gonna Stand in Our Way by N.R.G.
    The Transformers theme by Lion
    and
    Hunger by Spectre General

That would make a kick axe Heavy Metal pack.

    See what I did there?

I think it's interesting that the customer support rep said, "And, as an odd aside, we have had an inordinate number of Transformers song requests in the last week or so. It’s beginning to make me nervous."

    Nervous? Hm. Interesting.

Nervous as in "uh oh... they mean business" or "uh oh... they're coordinated"

Oh and PS -- that was no "customer support rep" -- that was someone important.

Please make sure you post what you'd like to hear in the Rockband posting.

Stan Bush has actually already been talking to them too. Hopefully something comes from this. Also, you can never have enough "The Touch" :)

Maybe not... that original "story" was from Kotaku.
From what I understand, it may or may not be a reputable source.

nah, I'd post it in the Guitar Hero posting. :D

Besides I don't think they'd arrange the score of 'Arrival to Earth' for one guitar. So far as I know I'm the only one who's done that. :D

it would be neat though for TF fans to get some of their favorite songs on the game though.

Can you imagine playing Dare to Be Stupid? That would be crazy hard.

I picked up RockBand2 last night.
When you purchase the game, there's a redemption code on the back of the instructions... for 20 free DLC songs... when you're registering, the page asks for what songs you'd like in the future. THIS IS IMPORTANT... it means something. You see what I did there?
Not only are we asking on a free public forum, but we're asking for songs as (confirmed) paying customers. I'd say that adds a little weight to the requests, don't you?

I'm just getting into Rockband, but I totally agree that Stan Bush's tracks should be made part of the Rockband experience.

Harmonix loves to be the "ultimate music catalog" experience, and so far their choices have been awesome, but they've also shown that they can bring lesser known artists into the mix (like MC Frontalot from the PAX '08 set), so why not Stan and "The Touch". And yes, not every hardcore rocker knows Stan Bush's music (even I hadn't heard much Pixies until RB), so its all pure win if you're learning something new.
