what was your hardest/ most memorable boss fights,
for me its the Tidal Wave boss fight from the 2004 transformers game, since playing that back in 2004 i havn't since come across a boss in which i had the same "Holy Crap" moment as i did back then, the blood/frost dragon fights from skyrim probably came closest.
And the end fight for Assassins Creed 2 just for the hilarity of the situation

Almost any last boss of a Final Fantasy- they always seem pretty epic, and I would say particularly in FF6. The sky colossus was always the most exciting colossus battle in Shadow of the Colossus for me. The final battle in MGS4 was both exciting and emotional. The final Bowser battle in New Super Mario Bros Wii was awesome. In Devil May Cry 3, I loved the sword fights against Dante's brother Virgil. Wily Alien from Megaman 2 was always my favorite Megaman battle. Legion from Symphony of the Night was pretty incredible. Both ending battles in the two Mass Effects were incredible, just the setting and the tension built up. Pyramid head is one of the most memorable evil figures in games. Wesker in RE5 was killed in a volcano via missile launcher to the face, that was nice. Sonic 2's final battle with the Robotnik was amazing and I will always remember that music.

Ok, I could go on but those come to mind right now.

EDIT: I will also always remember the final boss in Sonic generations simply becuase it was one of the worst designed boss I've ever played.

Oh and how can I forget Mother Brain! On the NES she was extrememly hard, but in Super Metroid it was all just an incredible battle. The CG version of that battle shown in Metroid: Other M was probably the highlight of the game.

Agreed! I hate it when an otherwise incredible game pulls a dick move like this. The boss was just designed to annoy you.

Time eater from sonic generations deserves special mention. One of the few times in recent memory I've had to look for a VIDEO to figure out how to beat a boss.

I will never forget how I beat the Ultimate, Diamond, Emerald and Ruby Weapons in FFVII. It was so great that the last boss battle seemed very easy and it should be mentioned in job applications :lol

Man, that music blew me away back then. I did hate the battle with the Mana Beast afterwards though.

Koloktos from Skyward Sword and Stallord from Twilight Princess are what all Zelda bosses should strive to be.

    The hard-
I started playing Hard mode on Batman Arkham Asylum - And then I got to the Poison Ivy fight... Needless to say, I'm not going to be beating Arkham Asylum on hard anytime soon.

FFX, Yunalesca... The most loathesome boss battle I've ever played in a Final Fantasy. It's just... AGH. Especially since you can't skip the cutscene preceding it, which goes on forever... so each time you lose, you have to start all over again and it's just so frigging frustrating. I really need to get the Holy spell for Yuna. Hopefully that should make things easier.

The Mysterious Figure from Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Or for that matter, Terranort from Terras story and the final episode. Rage. So... much... rage.

Jak 2. I'm not gonna mention any one specific boss... because the whole game is just... hard. The whole game is like a perpetual final boss fight. Hard as hell. Though the final boss does take the cake...

Holy shit. How could I possibly forget...
And not just in Kingdom Hearts- Everywhere. Every single time you face Sephiroth in a game, chances are it's gonna be hard as hell. And just that alone makes it a candidate for both Hard and Memorable.

The sixteenth colossus from SOTC. That guy is- while epic- frustrating. I can't count how many times I had to climb back up to him.

That's all I can think of right off the top of my head... I'm sure I'll think of something later.

    The Memorable-

Shadow of the Colossus is just one huge boss battle. And pretty much, every single one leaves an impression in one form or another. Just... wow.

The fight with Wheatley at the end of Portal 2 is just fantastic... The buildup to it. The actual fight. The way you win. And the climax for it all, (portal to the moon. Holy shiznits.)... so delicious.

Tidal Wave. From the Transformers Armada video game.
He would also probably be one of the hardest, but I'll be honest and say I've never fought the battle without the use of cheat codes. Just the scale of it is really awesome. Leaves a big impression. Me likey.

The battles against Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts 2. In fact, a lot of battles in KH2 are memorable... (The 1000 heartless battle for instance, but I'm not sure that counts as memorable.) But the Xemnas battles specifically. Especially the final battle. Just... epic.

    Mine would be

Devil Hulk from The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction.: It's one of the most integung battles I've fought because I was facing a foe that looked like a brute but is VERY cunning and brings dark urges to you. Trying to take him down was VERY epic.

Metal Madness and Metal Overlord from Sonic Heroes: The reason was that back then I knew that Metal Sonic played a part in the game somehow but what I didn't know was HOW I was going to face him. Seeing him turn into that Mechanical Dragon was the biggest suprises I've encountered in the game. Fighting him was no picnic but I was able to defeat him in the end.

The Phantom Blot from Epic Mickey. Finfing a way to use the trps Oswald set up while the Blot tries to catch and destroy you was intesne and epic at the same time!

The last boss in Sonic 3 and Knuckles. For a two decade old game it really does holds up to be the most impressive moment in the game from beating the robot Eggman built,to trying to run away from him and then chasing him as Super Sonic. Good grief what memorys!:D
