Would you guys want Hardcore Eddie to return for a TF4? Yes or No? I don't think it would be such a bad idea.

Oh, I messed up. I thought this was about TF3. It it was, I'd still vote yes. But if we're talking TF4, no. As awesome and funny as Hardcore Eddie is, I don't want him back for 4.

No. To me he was like the military version of Leo.

No, he was a pointless character.

Much in the way this is a pointless thread trying to keep the movie thread going. Seriously, can't we lock this forum up until we actually start hearing news about TF4? Right now it is hardly anything more than people making a crap ton of threads all following the idea of "do you want *insert character/object/plot point here* in TF4?" and it's wasting forum space.

He really didn't do anything. He was much more "Hardcore" in the novel too.

But I have to admit he was funny.

"Trying to avoid aliens blastin' at me, I'm ducking through churches and buildin's and all that crap, THIS IS BULLSHIT I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS EPPS! .......I'm tryin' to keep it together."

So Eddie was a militaristic perverted boy who screams and cries and talks endlessly about his testicles? LOL

He was such a minor character in the movie that I don't even think most people would notice if he did return.

His humour brought something human to the film, it was how an uninformed human would react to the Cons and Bots, mixed in with comedy.

It took me a minute to remember who hardcore Eddie even was, so I'm going with no.

Would I like him back? Sure. Will I cry if he's not? No. I found him awesome and funny and if they bring back any other human characters from previous movies other than Lennox, Epps, Simmons and Dutch, Hardcore Eddie is at the top of my list. Obviously I'd rather have more focus on the Autobots, but hey, if it's between Hardcore Eddie and a new, random soldier, I'll choose Eddie.

Also, THE PAIN TRAIN IS COMING! WOO-WOO!

    Maybe. :p

It was more that he was endlessly whiny about the situation he was in. He's part of N.E.S.T., a group supposedly made up of the best of the best, and yet he's crying about everything. If I was in N.E.S.T. I'd be very unhappy about having him in my unit for a mission. He's about as 'hardcore' as a floppy johnson. I can only assume his 'hardcore' name was supposed to be ironic. Unless it's because he's a hardcore whiner and hardcore irritating.
In his favour though it was perhaps nice for once to see a BayFormers human soldier not made out to be some kind of battlemaster. But BayFormers has more than enough cartoony human characters and it just felt even more cringeworthy with regards to Eddie.

Eddie wasn't a part of NEST. He was one of the guys Epps called on to help him and Sam.

    I liked him okay.

Fair enough, I stand corrected on that part. But for a military guy Epps obviously thought well enough of to call for help he really does whine a lot. If he was really good at his job, which I didn't see much evidence of (wasn't he supposed to be keeping an eye on Sam and Carly and yet lost them because he was too busy whining to himself?) then I'd be more forgiving his endless complaints about his situation, then it might've balanced out. But, for me, it didn't.

Hardcore Eddie was insufficiently hardcore to meet my approval.

Wasn't he rumoured at one point to be the one that kills Starcream? I'm not sure if that would've been better or worse than Sam doing it.

He was apparently so hardcore that I have absolutely no idea who he is/was.

So, yeah, what the heck, bring him back for the next movie.

    This.

The back story of how he served with Epps' dad should have been thrown into the movie.
