It really depends on your definition of "doing it right". I agree that it is foolhardy to spend that kind of cash on a wedding, especially in these tough economic times. Putting that money towards providing for the rest of their lives together would be better spent IMO. Putting that down on a home would be more beneficial for the marriage long term. The wedding is important, but it is just the first day of a life long adventure. It isn't the be all and end all to go burning through cash like there's no tomorrow. Now if he had the extra cash to spend on it, great. But if he has to go selling stuff he doesn't really want to sell, then he may be having too big of a wedding. I know people that have had beautiful weddings for less than $5K.

Either way, congrats on the nuptials Hitch. I will pray for you and your future wife and hope that your marriage lasts til the end.

Reminds me of the movie starring both John Travolta & Nicholas Cage.

    *Face Off!*

$6K goes a long way nowadays. I can't spend that type of $$$ anymore but I'll wish you "Happily Ever After."

My advice, sell and donate the money to people who need it.

I spent perhaps merely 100 dollars on my wedding and still the most memorable event of my life.

With the economy the way it is, it seems morally wrong to sell little pieces of plastic - I myself having only made 5,000 dollars last year due to layoffs.

But if you have the money, please let it blow away in the wind while you can.

    Optimus Prime would be proud.

Every post in this thread (including mine) that is not directly related to the sale of these prototypes should be deleted. This is not a forum for attacking someone's morality or instructing them how much to spend on a wedding. What the hell is wrong with you guys?

Congrats Hitch and good luck with the sale. If I had the cash, they'd be mine already.

These pieces are amazing, and I hope you get a great price on them, as they're one of a kind examples of transformers design and an important part of their history.

    Sorry for the late reply

No they do not have any kind of stamping on them. They were obtained indirectly from a former Hasbro employee who actually worked in photography at Hasbro. I purchased a great deal of prototypes, paperwork and artwork from the same source. Sadly this kinda stuff doesn't have any kind of COA. I know its real and to be honest, I wouldn't have a clue how to fake them!

I have an extensive prototype collection and I have presented a panel at Botcon all about prototypes. The only authenticity I can give is my word and examples of other items in my collection

    Hope that helps!

    Hitch

I actualy loved the models, but...

Spend 6.000 on five fantoys? :wtf:

That is ridiculous! Those are even original toys! Many KO factories do those kinda of copies every day, and you wont give them 6.000, right? You have just recreated five copies of some minibots, and you want somebody give you 6.000?

I would only pay 50. And look to some pics, some of them are even broked!
