Hard Drive question

    im looking to replace the hard drive for my laptop as it pretty much shit the bed, can i slap any ole hard drive in it or does it have to be the same as the one i removed

    brand-wise it dont matter. just make sure its the same size (usually 2.5in) and type (SATA or IDE)

    ok thanks, just dont want to buy something to advanced for my laptop as its 2 years old

    I would recommend getting a 2.5" SATA as IDE are hard to find and SATA is the norm right now anyway. But be sure to get a name brand drive like western digital or Segate cause others don't give as much as a warranty as those 2 companys do and I used just about every drive out their on the market. W Digital and Segate give 3 to 5yr warranty.

    What he said.... Because you never can trust the ones that are 2 year warranty or lower... You want to make sure you can get the best warranty for the best price.
    You don't want your new hard drive to fuck up again...
    And stay away from Samsungs and HP, had bad experience with thoses.
