Just like Paris Hilton. And those things look badass....I'd totally get those and reprolabel them up if I can afford it.
It has an "add to basket" option, can you order individuals or do they only do bulk orders for retail? I'm really interested in these.
Anybody ever try to order from the directly? I wonder what it would cost for a case (that is how they sell them right?) of the Hummer Road-Bots.
If anyone would be willing to buy a case I can guarantee that I will buy at least 1 of the X-Bots from you.
^That's what I was thinking^ (Bugmenot) Hell depending on what a case would cost, I might be willing to get a whole case and sell the extras at cost + shipping if there were any interest... depending on wha a case would cost. Anyone know if they require a business license number or anything to order? EDIT: I contacted them about a case of the red Hummers to find out what the cost would be.
Just a thought, but Spencer from Agesthreeandup would probably have a pretty good idea what Happywell's bulk requirements and prices are. He may not mind sharing the info either, since it seems like he may not be going out of his way to stock more Happywell product any time soon. There are a lot of Happywell toys I'd like to snag... some sort of communal bulk order would suit me fine! I would happily cover one each of any of the 1:35 Roadbots (except the Ford GT and Pajero, which I already have), and any or all 4 of those zoidy new X-bot things. So if anyone wants to orchestrate this thing, you can count on my contribution. However, if we try to order directly, it begs the question... if it's not economically feasible for Spencer to carry Happywell stuff in his store and online store, how can we expect a bulk order to work for us? Also, if the preorder period for Happywell stuff at other online retailers is any indication, I think their shipping is REALLY slow. zmog
Interesting. It's sort of the BW TM definition of triple-changing though. "Transforms from robot to animal-thing to animal thing with its limbs tucked up."
I'll take 1 of each please. For knockoffs, these actually look pretty cool. BTW, how is the quality (plastic/durability) with these Happywell robot toys? I've never bought one before.
I think is a okay concept, it kinda reminds me of the Beast Wars Transmetals with the beast and robot mode, while the vehicle modes looks goofy. But all and all it isn't half bad.
I've got a couple of the Road Bots and I think the plastic quality is very good. I'm not a fan of how Road Bots are parts-formers, but they are built pretty well...
Happywell KO's are generally at the upper edge of KO quality. They use slightly more brittle plastics, and generally mold in fewer colours, but they're still pretty tough toys, and way better than standard Chinatown fare. Their Roadbots (an original Happywell line) are markedly better quality than their KO's even. I agree that the engineering of the transformations are not quite as thorough as Alternators.. the car modes are exquisite, but the robots can be a bit awkward. However, the actual quality of the plastic, construction and detailing is perfectly comparable to major brand name toys. Heh... I assumed that the blue one was a bear, but you're right... it does say "Tiger" zmog
The site doesn't mention a third mode (just robot mode and beast mode) so I think the 3rd "mode" is more an attack mode for the beast rather than a distinct 3rd triple changer mode. Anyways, those look pretty cool, especially beast modes. Would be good custom fodder for Predacons.
OK, this is what I sent them: And this is what I got back: So I'm guessing that MOQ is "Minimum Order Quantity", but what in the hell does "CBM" and "CTN" mean? I run a titty bar, these abbreviations don't mean poop to me. EDIT: CBM is how they measure how much room an item will take up in a cargo container, and CTN is short for container. There's no way I can afford to order half of a 20 foot cargo container's worth of these, I'm gonna have to see if they can point me to a wholesale distributer.
