Wow. I dig the robot modes and the animal modes, however, the third 'vehicle' modes on many of them leave a lot to be desired. Still, if I see them somewhere for $10 to $20 -ish (depending on how they actually look in person) I may just pick some of these up.
The third modes remind me of the TM's third modes. More extensions of the animal mode than an actual vehicle.
The tiger makes me think Cybertron Scattorshot went feral. I would prefer to see these in person before I bite. Hopefully Walgreens or Big Lots will be able to get them in.
I haven't seen Happywell's in a while but I would definitely consider these if I found them at a reasonable price. Hopefully some easy to access chain store will carry them.
Not bad at all. They remind me of Dancouga a lot too - I guess a challenge would be making them combine though the elephant looks like he isn't the right shape to fill the Big Moth's role.
I like the Road-Bots better. Similar to Alternators, but with wider variety. The bot modes may seem cheesy compared to TFs (same mfg as "Galaxy Defender?!?), but they probably won't cost as much either. The commercial seems a good sign...
Yeah! I noticed that too... the 1:18 scale version looks like it might be the nicest large Road-Bot design to come along! I like these beast bots... they look pretty awesome in animal and robot modes, and there are lots of cool details. The vehicle mode is sort of... meh... kind of a transitional thing, like "gerwalk" mode (or yes, the Dancouga vehicle modes)... but who cares! I don't NEED 3 modes if the first 2 are cool enough. Hope these get some distribution. I'm having a hell of a time just getting Road-Bots. zmog
The animal modes remind me of Zoids. I still like their roadbots better. And they don't seem so much like triple changers to be....more like Perceptor with his "tank" mode.
