But there are a few thinks that bug me based on this picture
    [IMG]

His "goggles" are down and pretty much make him look like a bug eyed freak I have some hope the visor can go up but I really doubt it or by some hope they revise him so its not covering his eyes. Don't get me wrong I'm getting him no matter what I just find that as his biggest flaw besides not being red with yellow highlights. Because we all know his WFC artwork.

Is supposed to make him look like Hotrod why not keep the consistency oh wait... Hasbro nvm.
the whole thing of him being a BB repaint doesn't bother me yet. (Until they start making hundreds of BB redecos *cough* DOTM *cough* then it would piss me off)

I agree with you; I would have loved to see him done up in his traditional colors. I think it still looks like a cool figure, but obviously he's going to be based off of his Cybertron (I think?) figure.

None the less, I bet you anything we'll see a redeco down the road with the red and yellow flames.

Last I knew it hadn't been confirmed yet whether or not the blue Bumblebee repaint/retool is actually Hot Shot. If he is, it's not hard to just chalk it up to a non-cannon repaint given a name to ensure further use of said name (like TF1 "Jolt").

Edit: As for his goggles, I personally really like them. If they can be moved up, cool, if not, not really an issue. As-is I don't think I'll be getting him anyways, but if I do, I would keep his goggles down. Makes him look kinda like a welder.

My biggest hope is that he gets into the show but seeing as how lately redecos don't make it into main media I have doubts it will ever happen.

The goggles do look movable to me, on account of how wide they sit on the head. If they were static, they'd probably fit more flush to the head.

It could just be a stylistic quirk, though.

you know Archon you maybe right, now that I look at it the top of his head has a groove. Maybe that groove holds it up in place if you want the visor up but then again like you said it could just be a stylistic quirk.

^^Agree. Although this obviously makes zero difference to your original hope that Hot Shot be more in line with his WFC colors, but still, the visor appears to be mobile.

I think it hasn't.... but putting two and two together, seems highly like it is.

I'm just glad Hasbro made a Bee repaint that is someone other than Bee for once.

I'm not denying the rather large likelihood that he is Hot Shot, just want to keep in-mind that it still hasn't been confirmed yet.

The goggles are definitely movable. They're too big and clunky NOT to be a separate piece.

    This.

... maybe they'll release an Optimus Prime mold in anything but red and blue?

Crazy talk, I know. But mayhap?

Like Purple and dark blue for his Decepticon paint style for Season two (not saying that's what he looks like) with Decepticon symbols to give us an Evil Prime paint style. (Totally not referencing SG at all)

They can do that in other lines. Just not in the Movie lines, because the characters are too high-profile, so they don't want to mess with the character recognition there.

They've got more creative control over the non-Movie stuff, though, so it's all fair game.

Well I hope this toy is good.

Only the Cybertron Hot Shots were any good, The universe version was mehtastic is everyway, though I never had the Henkei version which I know is much better.

I wouldn't say "much" better. It had guns. That's about it. The problem with the back kibble and shoulder spoiler getting in the way of everything are still very much there.
