It's 2010 here in China. (Don't worry, I won't spoil the ending for you.) Just so you know the new year arrived safely. Best blessings for all of you, and here's to some cool plastic crack this year!
All these times zones are crazy, lol. My friend sent me a facebook message telling me I was 26 over there while I was still 25 here. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
An entire decade, gone. I'm just dumbstruck at the idea of this decade's end. So what'll we say now? We would say oh-nine or oh-eight or something. Now it'll be just "ten". I guess we could say "oh-ten" or even "two-oh-ten." I like the second one. So much throughout the decade - tsunamis, terrorists, oil prices, celebrities. Michael died, Harry Potter, Disney Channel whore Miley Cyrus... Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ike, the Indian Tsunami, Swine flu. In the movies, there was Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Transformers, Twilight. If we've think we've seen it all, we ain't seen shit yet. These past ten years have left us all with a profound sense of humiliation. Not just here, but for people all around the planet, in the civilazation we call "The Third World." So, let's hear for 2010. Let's hope the next decade is even better, worse, and crazier than this one. It's been a blast, Chopperface. The rest is... silence.
I posted this in another thread but really it's most appropriate here. Happy New Year to everyone, even though it generally marks the end of winter vacations and Christmas.
2010, Happy New Year guys! (and gals) Well, 2009 is behind us and we can look forward to another 90 years of double digits. Well, it's been quite a year, The plane crash in Hudson, Octomom, Obama, Sarah Palin, A year of great movies and cars, the deaths of Walter Cronkite, Michael Jackson, Farah, and most importantly Keyboard Cat. The list goes on and on, but we have so much to look forward to this year. *cough*2011 Delorean*cough* but to sum it up, Play it off Michael Bay!
Happy New Year! It's weird that we're living in the 'Teens now. A hundred years ago right now this second, Titanic's sister Olympic was still in the design phase at Harland & Wolf ship yards in Belfast, and the world was wrapped in the throes of the Guilded Age. WWI was still years away. I find that symmetry fascinating.
Happy New Years everyone!!!! Here's to new beginnings, a new year filled with opportunity, hope, and dreams.
A year ago, I would've given anything to be with a girl. My, how things turned out... I can't believe a whole decade is gone.
