Happy Mother's Day even though it is early.

 

You know, every time people post these threads, I always think that I've somehow forgotten about it.

 

And a happy early V-Day to you!

 

I'd be in trouble if I had because the Mother's Day here in England was a month or so ago.

 

Hah. I've still got a little while though. Too bad my mom's not into transformers, or I'd have a real easy time picking a gift.

 

I bought mine cake and alcohol.

That sounds really bad about my mum. She's not a fat alcoholic.

I know my son is currently making something oh, so special at Kindergarten for me - his mama - and I can't wait to see it!!!!

I think my daughter's daycare is making something, too! Although at 18 months I doubt my littlest buggerlugs even cares  

I am giving my mum my old Jazz dance costume and shoes from when I was 5. I found them and have taken them for preserving/framing I know it sounds like a crappy gift, believe me when I say mum will love it. She'll probably cry.

This thread made me google Mother's Day pretty quick when I saw it, glad it's not for almost 2 weeks yet.

 

Thanks for the reminder...with my mom gone now, I forget about this holiday...now I have time to buy some flowers for her grave.

Well, I usually make my mum a hand drawn card kindergarten style, but sometimes I forget.. in those instances I buy a completely inappropriate card like one that has Elmo on it and says "Happy Birthday to a special 2 year old" cross that all out and scribble "Happy Mother's Day" with half the letters backward, then I'll do a bunch of doodles all around the inside of the card and put 1 dollar inside. I'm 35.

 

Making your mother cry is the best gift of all. As long as it's the good kind of crying of course.

 

My mom likes the Bay movies and Bumblebee's her favorite character but I'd feel weird buying her an action figure for a gift lol.
