I was 2 years old when it came out... I still remember watching it for the first time when I was 4 or 5.
3 pages and no ackbar pics? tsk tsk. ROTJ was the 1st one i watched, on video with a buncha friends. we geeked out. later, when watching ESB, i cried when they froze han the few sw related dwgs ive done: ive been putting off this one with ackbar as a jeopardy contestant, "what is a the shields are still operational?"
My all time fave SW hero - the farmboy himself, Luke....all time fave villian - Darth Vader - the cyborg version.
i pissed off everyone in the starwars tf thread,so i'll just say this: "meesa jar-jar binx" "one shall stand, one shall--oh,screw it" *blows away what ruined sw for me*
it's nice to know that star wars and I were thrust upon the world in the same year, and my mom went to see the movie when she was pregnant with me. so TECHNICALLY, I've been in the theater for the initial run of every movie.
The old trilogy is great but the new trilogy sure could have used more space battling and less lovey gushing + Jar-Jar + whiny kids, etc, etc. Oh, nothing's perfect, but where's my 6 movie DVD set, George?
Never liked Star Wars (OT = overrated and boring, Prequels = unwatchable), can't believe it's remained popular this long. Nostalgia must be quite a powerful thing...
Ep2's Anakin passing food to Padme using his force scene used to make me cringe til it hurt, until my son pointed out he's keeping a larger piece to himself. Now we all laugh and say "Greedy Anakin!" to go through that scene. It helps a lot. Maybe I should buy a RAH figure after all...
