The funniest thing about it is that it would make sense those two kids would hunt down all the witches after what happened to them, after all, they don't want any other kids in the same situation.

Shame they wasted Peter Stormare though, he should have been the main villain.

Jeremy Renner Haweye weilding a bow and arrow again
The chick is Gemma Arterton right?
I don't know what it is but I don't like her acting, and it looks horrible in this.
If this turns into a love story, that would just be creepy. It almost looked that way the way Hansel ran after Gretel and screamed her name, i mean I get it she's your sister, it just seemed like there was more there and that's gross.

Keep in mind this is rated R and that Game of Thrones went that far and Spartacus Vengeance also wanted to go that far. I'm not saying it isn't weird or that it will definitely happen. I just wouldn't be surprised if it did. Maybe they're not related in this version anyway.

I'm interested in this movie. I think it looks like a lot of over-the-top fun. I won't see it in theaters, but I will probably check it out on DVD if I hear good things about it.

I was thinking the same thing about Van Helsing. But that is something new, a witch using a gatlin gun.

They should have got Owen Wilson to play Hansel. Hansel, he's so hot right now.

Jeremy Renner is insanely awesome. Gemma Arterton is awesome. Peter Stormare is fairly awesome. Famke Janssen is somewhat awesome too. I'm seeing this opening day.

I hate to say it, but you're probably right. Cowboys and Aliens didn't do well commercially and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter flopped so I think the general audience is a little turned off by these kinds of movies.

The way I see it, the reason we get these "Dark Fairy Tales for adults" and "Alternative History" films is because Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland made $1 Billion at the box office and is one of the highest grossing films of all time (not counting inflation), so that's what Hollywood executives think the general public wants.
