Yesterday i picked up the halo wars turret by megabloks, i have to say it is famazing.the figures are super detailed and super articulated(compared to lego minifigs). The turret is pretty neat too.

Do not, under any circumstance, purchase the Hornet.

From what I understand, most of them are as flimsy as hell, but the Ghost, Warthog, and the Scorpion tank are pretty solid.

    I'll get them eventually...

The Hornet is the most poorly designed building set I have ever had the misfortune to purchase. As a child, I generally could never afford more than the $3-5 impulse LEGO sets. Any one of them is a better set than the atrocious Hornet.

By obeying the instructions, you are left with panels that frequently and easily come apart without warning, a cockpit that can rip the whole set apart just from being opened, and it is literally impossible to put that giant chaingun (?) under the cockpit as instructed. I still haven't found a modification with the remaining pieces to correct this grievous error.

I was also very, very unimpressed with the Spartan and Grunt minifigures, despite them being one of the bigger selling points to this Mega Bloks series. The whole thing reeks of overpriced failure. Thank God I didn't pay a cent for it.

So usual fare for Megabloks then? Still, given the stance lego has about the military and military sets, this is probably the closest thing to good halo building sets that could ever be made.

I have the Ghost - The Mini Figures are great ( 2 Grunts & 1 Elite) - The Vehicle is solid apart from one piece which keeps falling off which was pretty frustrating !

Just bought a spartan on eBay. I don't want the sets, just the figures.

I'm actually glad we didn't get Lego Halo. with Mega Bloks we get pose able figures' not the blocks Lego calls mini-figs.
