I have but the problem is, that there are none in my area to try it on. I guess it would be easy to feel for the sword and the flame marine's hose.
Well originally it was called Halo Wars, but now it is just Halo, so I guess they have the contract for whatever Halo product they want to make.
Finally found the blind packs at Walmart, and am dissapointed as ll hell with my distribution. Picked up 8 bags, didn't cherry pick, just grabbed and left. No Active Camo Spartan No Rocket Launcher Spartan No Purple Elites 1 Spartan w/ Energy Sword 1 Elite with Energy Sword 3!! Freaking Hyabusa 3!! Freaking Flame Thrower Spartans. This is why I hate blindpack stuff, my luck bloooows.
The blind packs just showed up at my Wal-Mart today and I can tell these guys are gonna become a serious impulse buy problem for me; even though I traditionally have hated Mega-Blocks. I shuffled up the bin, grabbed two, and left which ended up yielding a UNSC pilot and green armor Elite. The quality is striking and the're quite fun to fiddle with. The only drawback of both is that the SMG doesn't fit in the hand worth a darn; even the promo pic on the insert has it facing strangely.
Ya the stalks on the guns are a small problem, I was tempted to cut and sand them, but my army has grown to so many it would be a chore. Also, if I ever sold them someone might not appreciate cut up weapons, the Battle Rifle works very well.
Damn those blind packs for being so goddamn addicting... I bought another two today, tried to get some Elites, but instead got another Hayabusa and... Woohoo, the Active Camo Spartan!
Always wanted to collect these. Got the Mongoose for starters and I love it. Will definitely be buying more soon
Picked up the rest of the blind-packs (know them by feel so didn't get any repeats ^_^) and they are all glorious. Also, because McFarlane hasn't been able to give me the basic orange Spartan I've wanted for years (bought the exclusive one with the Mongose but QC was garbage so it got a return) I caved on the Mega Bloks UNSC collector case (Orange, White, Steel) and I am genuinely appalled at how much I like them (because, as I've stated before, I've hated Mega Bloks for years). The case looks good and holds all the pieces firmly, and while it only comes with one core body it has both the battle rifle and plasma sword. Other than a slightly wobbly head and the need for a few swivel joints this set is great and I most certainly suggest it.
There are alot of you tube reviews, but most seem to have been done by kids. I understand these are children's toys but there are tons of every other thing being done by adults. They aren't that bad, but some kids definately have poor speaking skills.
Grrr, still haven't seen those around here. Would they be near the other Mega Bloks? or hidden elsewhere?
Alright I'll just look again I suppose. Oh and regarding Toys R Us' online buy 2 get 1 free sale, is that in-stores too?
