To go along with that (you stole my thread idea *shakes fist*):

    http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/701/701505p3.html

IGN wants to see some transforming aspects in Halo 3. :^), Good to see that Transformers can pop up anywhere, any time and in any place.

That is the only way I would ever even point my nose towards Halo 3.

I've already got a transforming robot FPS, but I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to make a better game than Shogo. Maybe Bungie will hire some actual level designers.

Shogo is almost exclusively transforming robots. It's the only thing that makes the game worth playing. And it is worth playing... if you really like transforming robots.

Hmmn, might see if it's a budget-game in the local toystores then.

Isn't that game supposed to have a weird sense of humor as well though?

You can usually find it for $10 (USD) or less as a two-pack with an RPG called Septerra Core. Pretty good deal, actually. I see it most often at Hastings.

The humor in the game is mostly references to oldschool sci-fi and mecha anime, or American butcherings thereof.

It's nothing incredible, but it really is a pretty decent game. They made a good attempt at totaly immersion in the story (mostly done in-game as opposed to cut scenes) with a branching plot line. The action is pretty standard FPS fare except for the transforming robots, but there's a third-person camera mode so you can actually SEE that you're in a transforming robot. As an added bonus, you get to choose between multiple types of robot. I've found a couple of bugs here an there, but never anything that got me stuck or ruined the gameplay. My biggest problems is that it just feels like a game that was made by inexperienced developers and anime fans who, while oldschool, weren't really into it past a surface level. Still, now that the game is both a budget title and rather old, that's all quite excusable. If you can find the two-pack, I'd say it's pretty well worth the ten bucks.

...now if that wish for transforming robots in Halo were granted, I might have to consider getting that too. Not gonna happen though.

.......For some reason I doubt it. And I certainly hope Halo 3 is good, since they dropped the ball with Halo 2 IMO (it wasn't as much fun as Halo was).

Actually, in most people's opinions it wasn't as well. Well, actually it went more like this: Halo 1, fantastic storyline, passable multiplayer. Halo 2, so so storyline, best FPS multiplayer evar. So the story mode didn't go over as well, people bought it so they can kill their friends.

Just because it sells alot, does not mean its not rubbish. Case in point: the Star Wars prequels.
