If I could wear the helmet, I would be all over it.

However, this does give credence to the September release rumour.

Meh, I've got it mostly paid off so I'll chuck an extra $30 at it. I thought there was gonna be 3 dvds alongside the game though. And the Legendary edition better have the book that the Collector's Edition has too.

Totally worth it. This is the game that causes the X-Box 360 to transform into hooker and pleasure you right?

    Oh it's not?

    Forget it then.

Does anyone actually watch the contents on the extra DVDs? I mean I have the "Collector's" sets of both Doom3 and Halo 2 and have never even looked at the extra DVD in either of them. Like TT said, if the helmet were human sized then I would go for it, but I doubt my cat wants to wear a Master Chief helmet.

I do, I'm a CE whore for games and DVDs (real CE's like the Scarface/Spiderman/Schindler's List sets not just ones just marked as a CE). I have the CE's of Halo 2, Doom 3, Splinter Cell Chaos Therory and True Crime Streets of NY (got it for $5 new and still haven't opened it) on Xbox and the Prey, Gears of War, and Perfect Dark CE's on 360 with plans on getting the SD vs Raw and Splinter Cell Double Agent ones in the coming month.

So, you pay an extra $80 for a helmet that doesn't do anything, special documentaries you can get off the internet, possibly a book you can get for cheaper (probably WON'T be in the Legendary set since it probably won't fit under the helmet). Am I forgetting something? Oh yeah, the chance to increase the size of your e-penis. The standard version will come with the same amazing game, why waste money?

anyone complaining about the $130 price is not the type of person this set is made for.

the Halo 3 Legendary set is just that. Like the "Legendary" difficulty level on the game itself, its really only for the hardest of hardcore who devour materal based around this universe, from the games themselves to books and comics, etc. If you didn't watch the second DVD with your halo 2 set, this set is not for you.

I don't preorder games typically, so I'll just walk into the games store on release day and buy whatever set is available for what I can afford. I'd like the Legendary set and I think $130 is a fair price for it, but I won't lose sleep if I still end up with a great game for $60.

I'm of the opinion premium games should be more. Halo 2 I got for $55 and I spent close to 2 years playing it online. thats VALUE. I can't complain about a high price if I get my money's worth. I'd be willing to pay a lot for Mario Kart, Smash Bros... a lot of games with great replay value.

I think I'll only get the one with the book. First I need a 360 though.

Got a pre-recorded call from Gamestop today inviting me to change my pre-order if I wasn’t comfortable with the new price.

I’m still a total Halo whore so even though I will most likely regret it I’m sticking with it.

I have never watched mine either. I do like the case, though.

And no way am I giving them that kind of cash for the Legendary Edition, the normal one wil be fine for me.

Sucks ass for those of you who do want it...heck, I kinda want it, too, but not $129.99 want it :(
