Starting the shenanigans already?
They have to, none of the game sites report on saturday, so the jokes would have to be reported today or monday...
i can see it now, seeing the trends...the next Halo game will be called halo: THE MOVIE to coinside with halo: THE MOVIE
You sir are an April Fool...
For an April Fools' joke, it wasn't very funny. They should've made a parody of the ilovebees site and linked to it.
An FPS franchise with the most repetitive levels in the last decade.
You're being much too kind.
For my true thoughts on Halo, consult Penny Arcade's archive of strips. You'll know the one when you find it.
Both Halo games have rather impressive engines, but like every Bungie game I've ever played (Marathon trilogy, Oni) it suffers from horrible, terrible, awful, and just plain bad level design.
Halo is a game you play against foul mouthed 12 year olds...
who really want their chocolate milk.
I love how no matter who you play they sound the same and 12. I was playing once and my friend betrayed one of them because he was being an idiot and he was like "Whyyyyyyyyyyy can't we just play as a team! Comeeeeeeeeee onnnnnnnnn guysssssss why can't we be a team!"
Halo, Microsoft, Sony, and iPod. So hated simply because they are rediculously popular. Is Halo as amazing as some stupid people think it is? No. Is it a solid FPS? Yes. Are all the levels amazing? No. Are many of them pretty good? Yes.
Yes, people on voice chats are idiots, hence LAN parties.
You lied! You said i could have some mother $#%#ing chocolate milk!
Am I the only one who doesn't enjoy cussing back at those little kids? Sure after a few minutes it gets boring and they don't get that you are really making fun of them, but I get to laugh and then mute their voice.
1. I don't hate any of these personally. I do dislike Halo and iPod but it has nothing to do with being ridiculously popular.
2. Extremely overrated in my opinion.
3. Guess it depends on what you mean by "solid." To me, that description would include level design. See 4. below.
4. Definitely not. In fact dull / tedious / same ole same ole / been there done that a million times / etc. is more of an accurate description.
5. Guess it depends on your definition of "many." I would disagree with your assessment.
So, is this really a joke or what? How is joking that the next version of a somewhat popular game will come out in a year funny at all? It would just get delayed another 6-9 months anyway.
Neither funny, or news for that matter. It's safe to say that another Halo will come out within two years or so anyways.
Whichever. Just thought I'd post what I found. Don't like it or agree with it? Take it up with IGN.com.
I wasn't bashing you for posting it, I just can't see how it's remotely funny if it actually IS a joke.
Now, if they said it was coming out TOMORROW, that would be funny.
