Can't say i'm that impressed. Then again, all it needs to say is HALO # in the largest font possible and it would do just as well.
Kind of weak.
The most overated game series ever (just my opinion, based on the first two instalments) gets a suitably boring box! *ducks rock*
Super weak. That's a letdown.
Maybe they should have tried for their last game?
Hey I thought this game was out already. Didn't it come out in November?
It comes out in October I think.
September 25th. Doesnt matter to me since I've ordered the Legendary Edition, I am slightly upset that the CE gets the actual book while the LE getsit in digital form.
Hmm, looks pretty good but if anyone here has played the beta, then they'd know that Halo 3 really isn't that impressive. I got bored with the beta in about a week!
Here's hoping that the single player will make up for the blatent lack of any new or interesting multiplayer elements. Except for co-op, THAT'S gonna' be awesome!
I have to agree that Halo doesn't really offer anything particularly groundbreaking, I just happen to like the Universe it's set in and the story.
Oooo exciting...in a stand and look somewhat behind you kind of way.
Eh still probably going to get the game though.
Halo has a strong story and the gameplay is decidely engaging, but I find their box art hasn't done anything for me yet. Personally it irks me that MC's helmet is blocking the logo a little. Eh... imo. Nice color?
Like I care about the box art. My game box will be inside a shiny Spartan helmet.
A shiny, not quite life-size Spartan helmet. But you are right, that is still an ultimate box of sorts.
Box art is serious business. This game is going to flop because the box art is lame. Gotta love that mentality.
In certain cases, I'd suggest that the box art is an integral part of the package. Remember some of the lame 8-bit/16-bit era box art? It was attrocious while some of the games inside were gems. But in the case of the Halo series, it's a non-factor.
when i buy games that dont know anything about...the box art and what's shown in the back makes me want to buy it or not.
but for games that are known....it doesnt matter....unless its a side story or just using the name (ie Mario is Missing), then the box art and back comes into play.
but its always nice to have a awesome cover for a awesome game...and since i think Halo is "meh", this cover is good enough
I don't judge a game by its cover or anything, but it shows a sign of laziness on Bungie/Microsofts part. I think every aspect of a game should be cared about, including the cover, and ESPECIALLY the cover of a Marquee game. I don't know, I have the feeling the Halo team suffers from "good enough" syndrome. They know it will sell well, they knew that with part 2, and it showed, I thought, that they cared much more about the multi player options and left the single player mode in a state of "good enough", but not amazing, in my opinion. So, I think this cover shows it to, and unfortunately, it is good enough, 'cause I am going to buy it anyways.
Nothing special about the game, don't see what the big fuss is about.
