It was just form-fitting... I think she means like short skirts and your boobs hanging out of the top. Or barely any clothes at all. That Baroness one was like a burqa compared to the other costumes you can get during Halloween.

 

I'm covered head to toe. It wasn't really that tight of an outfit. I fail to see what you are getting at.


Being sexy doesn't mean you have to let your private areas pop out. I think someone in a full business suit can be sexier than someone who wears almost nothing.

Geez, it's just my opinion on the matter. I don't care if other people choose to wear almost nothing and I'm not knocking them, it's their choice and their life, I just choose to not have anything popping out. Midriff, sure, whatever, it's just a stomach, but your privates are called privates for a reason...

This. I've see some costumes that are..... barely costumes. Not saying that I didn't enjoy looking at them, but yeah, E1's is a lot more tasteful.

 

Nothing wrong with a Sexy Costume as long as you can pull it off. If a girl wants to dress up with her boobs out and a short skirt it is her choice, I won't stop her. I do however hope that my daughter will have more sense than that when she is old enough to decide on these things.


Incidentally I also hope that my daughter will not ask a bunch or horny fan boys for advice on a transformers message board....but that is just me.

Wait, since when can't guys do this? I thought Halloween was an excuse for both genders to run around half naked.

Well I look at it this way, Halloween is that one time of year you can be someone else and not get any wierd looks or lingering opinions labeled onto you. I know the first thing that pops into my mind as an example of this is that one Buffy the Vampire Slayer halloween episode where Willow got all sexied up in a tight outfit, short skirt, knee high boots and the like, not showing any skin, but still sexy as hell. It was obviously out of character for her, but for others that could easily be their normal attire. But yes, there is a difference between dressing "sexy" and dressing "slutty", however I can't really give a clear definition of what that would be.

As you said yourself, someone can be more sexy fully clothed then another wearing barely anything. Sexy is an attitude, it's confidence and body language more then looks or clothing. However if a chick can be smart and confident while being naked, well that's just all kinds of hot. But again, like you said, it's all about self respect, and if you can respect yourself no matter what you wear then it doesn't matter what others say, whether you decide to go around fully covered or almost naked. To each is own afterall.

And I'm still voting for the sexy TF outfit!

Beatrix Kiddo, any Powerpuff, Animated Blackarachnia, any Jane Austen character, Trixie Shimura, any Knight Saber, Motoko Kusanagi, Winry Rockbell, Agent 99 (movie version), Liz Sherman, any Harry Potter character, Agatha Heterodyne, any Star Trek or Star Wars character (especially Ahsoka Tano or Asajj Ventress, given their recent film appearances), Kim Possible... my recommendation would be to pick a character or costume which will be recognisable by at least a couple of the people you'll be interacting with, be it with close friends, at a general or themed party, or handing out candy at the front door. At a party or at home you can get away with more obscure stuff since you have time to explain the costume. If you're on door duty that night, probably best to go with something fairly simple and obvious from popular kids' TV from the current year or a movie that was only out in the last three months, or a generic dress-up outfit.
