Look at all those awesome Transformers on her shelf
When they asked her if Bumblebee was a badass, I wish she'd said no. Bumblebee and 'badass' should not belong in the same sentence. There are so many other characters who can fill that role. Bumblebee is much better suited to embodying many other valuable characteristics and shouldn't have to kickass to prove worth and play a key role in the story.
The legacy of the Bay movies I suppose.
Funny you call it garbage yet you watch them still
Nobody said that people had to like everything they watched. And I'm sure the point actually being made here is that 'we/they/people shouldn't pay money because they're bad' but there's no way to truly know if it is something that will allow for enjoyment if you don't watch it. Some people would like to do that sooner than others. For this specific case, if the trailer shows anything that is interesting, I'll probably check it out. It may be bad, it may not. I will not make solid judgments about the films until it comes out, nor will I judge others for wanting to/not wanting to see the movie.
dafaq I wasn't
Even talking to you damn people in this site are so toxic as hell
I am aware, but I figured that a different viewpoint on the situation may have been helpful. I do stand by the movies more than most, but that's less defending them for what they are than attempting to change how people perceive them. They aren't good, but blind hatred and malice towards both them and other board members simply rubs me the wrong way. And please note that's not necessarily targeted at you, as it's rampant on this website in all shapes and sizes. Eh, tolerance seems like an acquired taste in this community sometimes.
Yea I know somebody had to say it tho if I'm being honest
It's alright. At least I delayed the inevitable, yeah?
Yea yea for sure
Why would she have Transformers on her shelf?
I mean, it's pretty much too late for that now. Bumblebee has been a badass in every single continuity for the last 10 years.
"There's some things you just can't change."
It's funny how every time anyone ever disagreed with what was being done with Transformers, the standard response has always been that Transformers is built on change, and that's what it means to transform, and checkmate, so shut up about it. Now I suppose things are set in stone:
This movie needs to be something of a fresh start for the series, and needs to convince a lot of people that Transformers can be good and not a total joke.
Like so many misguided elements of the movies, I would just phase that stuff out and focus elsewhere, in this case on other aspects of the character.
I was mainly just quoting a line but I do agree about needing fresh elements to keep certain things going.
How incredibly un-newsworthy.
No, I don't think I will.
I'd also be willing to bet you're not the biggest Bumblebee fan on these boards, not by a long shot. As for what Ms. Steinfeld knows, well, her knowledge has led her to the starring role alongside your idol in his solo movie and what you know, Mr. Daniel97, has led you to trading witticisms over the internet with me. I don't think we'll need a physicist to tell us who among us has truly excelled based on their knowledge.
No, decency is exactly that. Decency. And if that needs further elaboration then it will take a greater man than I to help you.
No I generally direct those kinds of petty energies elsewhere. Besides whenever Shia speaks I just hear 'blah blah blah' so he could be telling me the secrets of the universe and I'd still tune the man out.
Animated Bumblebee proved that you can have a Bumblebee who isn't just another copy-paste of the movie version.
It would require that the major heads behind the project understand that the Transformers are characters as well.
Guess what Lorenzo firmly believes is not true.
