I dont normally start these kinds of threads, but I picked up HA SS at TRU this afternoon and I am seriously impressed. He's quite a bit shorter than Bumblebee is but I think he doesnt look quite as lankey. The removable battle mask is a bit of a waste though. Personally, I cant wait for the rest of this sub line!

    Removeable battlemask?

Mind if I ask for picks?

Nothing interesting, just the center of his face pops up and kinda gives him a unicorn vibe. Not Unicron. Unicorn.

I bought HA Sideswipe today and wasn't really impressed.

Meh I'm not really impressed the backpack looks way too big. And for $30 I expect more.

Every figure has its pros and cons. While Sideswipe here has a few drawbacks, it's still a VERY cool toy. Most of the cons Bumblebee had, it seems Sideswipe doesn't have, and vice versa. I'm glad I have one :)

My initial reaction is as follows:
"He's a string bean with Popeye's forearms and a backpack that would make L. L. Bean jealous" (note: I modified the last part a bit to be more appropriate for this forum)

He's growing on me, though. Epps is still too tall for all the HA gimmicks, but Sideswipe isn't as bad as I originally thought.

I like the figure way better than the smaller version mainly because of the doors that actually open like the concept vehicle. Not a bad figure to me at all, not quite worth $30 but oh well.

Oh man, how could I have forgotten Sgt. Epps? I literally could not stop laughing when I first pulled him out of the package. REDLINE knows because I was on the phone with him while I was doing this. MAN, that figure looks ridiculous! :lolol

I'm seriously disappointed by HA Sideswipe, he's just.....such a shell former, and it seem to be worse that the DLX version. The DLX has a backpack, but it can fold away nicely and I don't mind it. The HA version has a bigger backpack that actually has a worse "fold up" system and just...ugh....I had high hopes, and after watching a video review, they were dashed across the floor and trampled on.

I'm of the same mind. I was excited to find it yesterday, then disappointed when I opened it up.

Pros- Alt mode is excellent. That's about it.
Cons- Backpack is nearly unforgivable, short stature, face is 'smiling', rubber swords (WTF?), can't stand worth a crap, less substance than Bumblebee and Epps looks like someone took his 'back pocket' and hung it on a fence (from the same company that makes GIJoe, this is just silly).

I was really hoping for more since BB is such an excellent figure.

My hopes for Barricade are diminishing.

Hey can anybody give me the UPC for HA Sideswipe? Another member already did, but I keep getting people telling me that it isn't the correct upc. Could someone post the UPC? So I can compare the numbers.

I got mine on Saturday and while it does have it's flaws I really do like it. I have it mostly just for displaying, but he looks very nice in both modes. Just my 2 cents...
