In the aftermath of yesterday's Human Alliance thread frenzy, I have a simple question. Is HA Jazz worth the 30 bucks, all of the hype aside? I know that at the time he was released, people were having nerdgasms over him, squealing about how he's the best HA toy ever, and the best toy of the year. Now that he's a little older, and HA Mudflap has become easier to find, do you still think he's the great toy he was a few months ago?

I personally dislike the movie aesthetics with a passion, but I think HA Jazz actually looks like a fantastic toy.

Still haven't opened either Jazz or Mudflap...I tend to like the HA figures, though.

My favorite movie figure. Still have him in bot mode in my room. Definitely worth getting. If I didn't have him already, I'd buy one.

HA Jazz is, by far, my favorite movie figure too.

Leader Starscream is the only one that comes close to matching the design on HA Jazz.

HA Jazz is great. he looks amazing and the human gimmicks don't get in the way. my only complaint is i kinda wish he came with Elita-1 so we'd have all 3 bikes, but the bike-gun is still cool

My 3rd fav movie figure! (1st is Leader OP & 2nd is leader Screamer).

Yeah just like what the others have said it's a great figure. you could even it say it's the perfect movie jazz & the head-sculpt is quite screen accurate imo. go & get it man!

Yes Jazz is worth it. He's a very solid toy.

HA Jazz is the best HA figure, easily.

Jazz's kibble is compact and he's not hollow. Bumblebee looks great until you see him from the side or at an angle, because then he's terribly hollow with a skinny torso. Skids has this problem too, unless he's been modded.

Jazz has no ankle joints or upper thigh swivels, and his head is just on a swivel, but apart from that the articulation is good and more than adequate.

I also prefer the Hasbro version over the Takara version, mostly because of the clear blue on the windshield and visor.

Though honestly, the best part of HA Jazz is the minimal effect the human interaction gimmicks have on him. He's got fold out seats on his shins, and a seat behind his shoulder, but if they're not deployed they're hard to notice. Heck, even if deployed people might wonder why you don't have him transformed all the way, not 'why does he have chairs on his feet.'

So yeah, Jazz is the best HA figure, and it's mainly because they focused more on Jazz than on the gimmicks. He's like a mini masterpiece figure. Very worth the purchase.

IMO, the bike gun is completely superior to those crappy legend bikes that come with the other HA. Those bikes don't actually interact with the bot in any way. They're a consolation prize for the small-scale nature of Mudflap and Skids: here's the rest of the plastic you paid for.

With Jazz, that gun is one of the reasons he's the best of the HA's: he doesn't have to stand there empty-handed. HA Barricade sort of has a weapon, but's it's built-in.

He's still my favourite HA. The details, the paint, the incredibly sharp sculpt and just the right amount of gimmicks.

I got mine for $15. A steal. Even if I had to pay $30 I still woudln't regret it. (though I probably wouldn't have got him for $50, the retail cost here)

Mudflap is not a bad toy, looks very true to the character. But to me his value was more on the completion of the twins, and mini Chromia (or was it Arcee...I mean the blue one) and Simmons added a lot to the whole set.

As a single, stand alone Transformers toy, I think Jazz is so much cooler. His alt mode doesn't look as flawless as Sideswipe, but the bot mode makes up for it and some more.

Yeah, Jazz is awesome. Best HA figure by far. He's a nice solid bot with no hollow bits, a great sculpt, unintruxive gimmicks, and a great color scheme. He's my third favorite movie toy out of all the various lines and size classes, right behind leader prime and starscream.

Which thread was that? I don't remember seeing one.

I agree with the other. IMHO he's the best HA figure.
