Love this figure, but those stupid arm seats drive me nuts, so I propose the following. Using the arm piece from the Unleashed BB, i will make a few mods to it, including adding the rotating peg, and cast it in resin.

Now, removing the original chairs also means removing the bottom door panel leaving a gap there, so I will be removing those panels from the original arms and gluing them to the bottom of the doors, they wont stand out much in robot mode, and will still provide that peg for the back leg pieces to peg into in car mode.

And best of all, I believe this new arm piece still gives room for the Sam figure to fit, might be a bit more snug, but well see.

This was the only thing missing from HA Bumblebee, and I'm glad to see someone try it. :D

Intresting mod, anything that makes HA Bumblebee look even more accurate is definitely worth doing.

Looking over mine, I notice that the right arm seat hase the pattern of the arm guards bits sculpted into the seates. I would think it would be cool to swap an extra right arm guard/ seat with the left one and mod the correct side of the missile rack/ bottom side piece. So for those who are getting a second HA BB for the second hand mod could also try this seat mod too and be getting additional use out of the second BB.

added a few shots of the "finished" piece with the peg for attaching to the arm mechanism. clicks in place after rotating just like the original chairs. Works on the other arm as well, once i cast up another.

been thinking of doing something like this also, except I was going to use the chairs from a junker alternator i'v got. that way it would just fold up against the arm instead of being rotated, and the back of the chairs would look like his arm guards. yours will prob look better though

hoping to have the arm piece molded up in a day or so, then ive gotta find some paint that matches the glitter yellow plastic used, i ca either paint the pieces using it then, or actually mix it into the casting resin I use.

Can you cast the hand while you're at it and sell it all together? I've heard the existing hand can work for his other arm with minor shaving to swap the thumb around.

dont really want to get into recastings existing parts, however this ar part is modified a bit from what it was, so possibly. We'll see how it turns out.

wow, this actually works, the only thing is the panels that form the floor has to be conveniently tucked somewhere. But great mod nonetheless.

are you talking about the parts that go along the bottom of the door, where the missles plug in? I removed them from the chairs via the simple peg and glued them to the bottom of the doors, not noticeable and still transforms fine.
