shipped the first 4 sets this morning, first post is updated with tracking numbers for use on USPS - The United States Postal Service (U.S. Postal Service). Im coming to the realization that Im not going to be able to complete the remaining sets in any reasonable amount of time, when it took this long just to get 4 done, and I wasnt even entirely happy with them. From having to outsource the casting, to the castings I did get back not color matching and having to paint them, to then having half of them not actually fit, this project just blew beyond my ability. I still have raw castings if anyone wants them to finish themselves, but the work needed on most of them is just more than I can put into it. Unfortunately, the 4 that have shipped are the only 4 sets that will be going out. Over the next week I will be issuing refunds (its going to take a few days for funds transfer to complete) for the remaining sold sets. I apologize for taking this long to come to this realization, but I wanted to be sure there was no other weay I could finish the run before backing out on it. Those of you that will receive your parts soon, I hope you enjoy them and I will put together a short instructional video soon. For the rest of you, Im deeply sorry and I hope you dont hate me forever going forward. Again, I am willing to send you raw castings for free if you want to give them a try yourself. Just send me a pm. Your paypal refunds will be coming over the next week or so.
Awwwww, man... What kind of work needs to be put into the raw castings? If they're free, I'll take a set. I was really looking forward to these...
mainly they need lots of sanding, possibly filling, and then all the paint work because the color doesnt match. some may even need the small peg heated up and bent forward a bit.
just got mine today, man it really turned out amazing, it really is a shame that you weren't able to make more but completely understand the amount of work that went into these. Props go to you for amazing QC they are just flawless p.s. after installing which was easy as hell minus the stupid spring mechanism they use for the arms, it really completes HABB
I got mine in and on yesterday. You really did a great job on these!! I am very happy you chose to complete a few of them. I will see if I can snap some pics on Thursday (I left it at work). I sold my origonal custom Bee so they went on a non-customized (for now) figure. Again, great job!!!!
just to be clear, the offer for the raw cast parts is only for those members who were on the list but are now getting refunds, im not sending out free parts to anyone who wants them
Yeah, the hardest part is puttting the door bottom rails on after getting the pin out they are on. The actual arm piece installation is easy, as long as you dont loose those little spring pieces!
Just received my set today as well. The parts are awesome and the finish is terrific. It's really obvious much love and labor went into making these. I'm glad you decided to finalize at least the four sets but I feel bad for the people that missed out. Assembly was really easy and taking the pins out was no problem either. Still debating if I'm gonna attach the bottom rails to the doors or if I'm gonna try a different solution. Oh, the batteries in my camera just died so I can't take any pics righ now.
Considering the amount and effort you put into making these, I think your buyers will forgive you if you ask if you can extend the deadline. From what I'm hearing just making one of these is ALOT of hard and I'm sure they want a proper product. Great job on making these btw, you even managed to find the exact shade of yellow with the original.
Dude, I just got mine the other day, FREAKING GORGEOUS!! Absolutely perfect, great job dude, and thanks for the Bumblebee dog tag, my son loves it, wear it everywhere
Wow...thanks for the pics, they look great attached to his arms! I also bought a set. and they are cast perfectly!...but i am still waiting for TFW member BigHank to return my HA bumblebee to me so I can attach them!
He's been out of town with work for quite a while. He's been active over at procustomizers.com for a week or so now, you can try getting in touch with him over there.
