Yeah my hair is at a point where it is covering my eyes, so seeing could be an issue. And when it is wet it goes the the bottom of me check, and that gets really annoying.
In a few weeks you'll hit the point where it's in betwen short and long, it'll bug the living shit out of you. It's too short to pull back, but long enough to bug you. And if you're really unfortunate (Like me and a couple of other guys I know) during this phase it'll also look a bit like a mullet. Stick it out through this and you're golden though. I'm in the 3rd time of growing mine long again and don't think I'll cut it short again, unless I start going bald.
Good topic. I am going to tough it out and see what happens. I figure the worst case scenario when it's in the in-between stage is... hats. Lots of hats. Ha ha. I'll just be sure not to apply for any 'short-hair only' jobs when I finish school.
I had very long hair when I was a teenager, I simply washed it every day with your standard el-cheapo shampoo.
I've been wanting to grow my hair long all my life, but since my hair grows out sideways rather than straight down it looks comical if it's not long enough, which means you'll have to style it in such a way that it doesn't look awful. My hair also starts to curl when it's long enough and with the top of my hair thinning out at the top it'll look like NA's bald-mullet if I decide it let it grow out. I may eventually cut it real short or even going completely bald if my hair is heading that way. I do NOT want my hair to look like Dr. Phil if I can help it.
Oh and if you are in the middle stage where it is too short to tie it back. What I do is just put a really huge rubber band around my hair to keep it from getting in front of my eyes that bug me oh so much.
Rubber bands snap your hair like hell though. If you can get a proper fabric covered hair elastic it would be better...
im at the phase right now...too short to tie up, long enough to get in your eyes... ...and i plan on getting it longer than then last time i grew it out (little under shoulder length)
I'll take that as a compliment because they haven't had long hair since the early 90's when they were still good. I'm echoing the middle phase complaints. Man I hated it! I wore lots of skull caps while at home to keep it out of my face and when out and around I just dealt with it.
