When you rent a storage locker and don't pay the bill for a few months, they auction off what's in your locker to whomever will buy it. This guy bought a locker of boxes for $2400 and it turned out to be one of the most expensive comic book collections in the world.

I think its more likely belonged to someone that has died and any records pertaining to the storage locker got misplaced and lost so his family had no clue about it so never sought it out.

It was something like 150 long boxes of comics. They did not show many, but there were the original X-Men issues, Amazing Fantasy #16, etc

It was just about every comic you can collect. Think of every expensive comic book out there and put them all together in a locker. He had to make 6 trips with his truck just to get all those long white boxes out of there.
