According to Sebastian Bach, Axl has four albums worth of stuff recorded, with a trilogy to follow Chinese Democracy. And here I thought that Axl was too busy bitching about Slash and starting fights with Tommy Hilfiger.

I'll believe it when I see it.

"A friend of Guns N' Roses' front man Axl Rose claims the wayward singer plans to release a trilogy of albums by 2012.

Former Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach, who opened for Guns N' Roses during their recent New Zealand tour, told Metal Edge magazine Rose had finished up to four albums.

He didn't say whether one of the them was Chinese Democracy - the much-delayed new album from Guns N' Roses.

"The thing that nobody gets, that I get, is that he has like four albums done," Bach told the magazine.

"All you people who don't think he's gonna put out a record are sadly mistaken. He just takes his time. It's his album. Axl does what he wants to do, that's the way it is."

Bach said Axl planned to release a trilogy of records, with the third to be released by 2012.

When asked what the new songs sounded like, Bach said "the world's not prepared for what I've heard from this guy".

"It's got the grandness and epic-ness of November Rain but with the snarl, the attitude of Appetite (For Destruction.

"There's some great music coming your way."

Guns N' Roses' last album was 1993's The Spaghetti Incident. Rose brought a new-look line-up to New Zealand for two sold-out shows earlier this year. "

Even if this is true, it'll probably either be:

    1. Way outdated or
    2. Four albums with two albums worth of good stuff (Illusions, anyone?)

I think he meant to say it's going to take 2012 years until they're actually released

They'll all have 5 songs and be called, in order, "Chin," "ese," "Dem," and "ocra."

He'll then say he proved everyone wrong on two counts.

    And all four will suck.

I feel your pain. I'm just hoping when they release albums (if ever) that the New GnR uses the apersand they've been using in a lot of their tour materials.

    Guns n' Roses > Guns & Roses.

Y'know, I like Duff, but one thing I'm kinda looking forward to is seeing how Tommy Stinson sounds with the band.

If they could get Axl, Slash, and Izzy on an album, I think you'd get that GnR sound.

    p.s. Matt Sorum sucks.

Stinson has godlike status around here 'cause of the Replacements. Christ, he joined then at age 12. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

This is the funniest thing I've heard all year. Seriously. Chinese Democracy was due out in what, 99? Then 2002? Then 2004? Then GUARANTEED 2006? Bullshit, the instant it's in my hands and I hear an actual new album is when I'll believe it....and even then I might be skeptical.

Though the real incarnation of Guns N' Roses is Velvet Revolver

And Jiggles, you're a badass but Sorum is a great drummer, even though I do prefer Steven Adler in G n' R.

Ah, let me elaborate. I just really reallllllllllllllllllly don't like how he sounded on the Illusions albums. He actually meshes a lot better with VR, I'll just be forever against him, in part, because he replaced Adler. Kinda like how I hate Gilby Clarke for no good reason.

Yet, I like Chris Slade better than Phil Rudd. Hmmm... Maybe I'm just a hypocrite. ;)

Totally understand 100% I'm an Appetite for Destruction Gn'R lineup man myself.

I also hate Gilby Clarke because he has a dumbass name. Ever seen the Live concert from Tokyo? Slash and Gilby are going back and forth during Wild Horses and Slash bends Gilby over and gives his brain stem a good what-foring. The look on Gilby's face is priceless...."I must laugh or I'm going to pee myself!"

*edit: foster's Indy Cat sig made me snort Diet Coke out my nose....seriously.*

Guys this is all totally true. Not only will there be 4 albums, but Axl put together a really, really killer band for them. Bigfoot plays bass, Nessie is on keyboards, Yeti plays drums and lead/rythem guitar duties are shared by the Jersey Devil and the Chupacabra. It's going to fucking ROCK!

Here's the Wild Horses vid. The bending over segment starts at 1:12.

We need more Gn' R threads.
