New line of figures named Gundam Universe. 3000yen, fully articulated. Set for release in June. At first glance, they don't look as detailed as Robot Damashii. However that's definitely reflected in price.

This line was briefly revealed a few months ago and this is the 1st time we've seen pics close up.

That looks a lot like the MSIA line, though more detailed.
If they do Sazabi, Master, Tallgeese and Quebly, I'm in.

Hey, what do you guys make of the figures in the link?

They were shown off some time back. Looks like a cheaper version of Robot Damashii. Like a mix between Robot Damashii and MSiA.

It’s some popular Gundam at a lower price-point for international sales. I’m not particularly interested as I am in for something excellent not cheap.

I just hope Bandai doesn’t release the Big Zam or the Char’s Counterattack MS in this line...it would cheese me off...

The universal price point leads me to believe these are meant more for foreign markets. I would expect these to end up feeling quite similar to the Pacific Rim 2 Robot Damashiis.

These seem like the 2nd coming of MSiA!, even construction-wise.

They look interesting but can't say I am too interested in any of the Gundams in this first wave. Curious to see how the final figures are and where the line will end up though.

I may get the Wing ones out of nostalgia for MSIA, but what the hell did they do to Barbatos?

If these really are like entry-level/MSiA! I think Bandai is about 10 years late. These had a higher chance of selling more 10 years ago.

I'll wait to see more, a fully articulated Gundam is tempting at $30 but for $15+ more I can get a much better RD. I'll wait and see.

One thing that's putting a damper on it for me is the 6 inch scale... most RD and 1/144 scale models fall closer to 5 to 5½ inch size and aside from taller designs like the Unicorn I don't think they will blend well. Granted if we get any 08th MS team designs out of it then I'm totally game.

So apparently these figures use a DCT(not sure what it stands for) painting technique by Bandai and the joints are supposed to provide excellent movement(hard to tell by the largely static poses we've seen so far). I did see a closeup where it looks like the ankle joint on the RX78 is a hinge with a ball joint for the ankle. So there's potential for great movement, just hope we see to what extent soon.

The lack of clear parts is disappointing though.
