Out of curiosity, does the HCMPro version use part-swapping to transform? I would think so, but then again, they got the Asshimar to work at that scale *shrug*.

Oh wow! That's a sweet haul! I was always keen on those 2 Gundam mecha but avoided them because of the amount of cash I'm spending. Remember to post pictures when you receive them! :D

I'd love to get myself some FIX Gundam figures. MSiA just don't compare to those goodies.

Yeah, but don't diss MSIA...those toys are still sweet! And they got Mobile Armor which the Fix line still does not have...although there are "rumors" of a ship coming up for the Fix line! ;)

Newer MSIAs also have far superior poseability to anything the Fix line has, and the EMSIA's have paint that's just as pretty, just none of those cool tiny details.

Anyway, you'll have to let me know how the HCM Pro Zeta is, since I've been contemplating picking one up for a while now, but feared it would be either very fragile or just a sloppy mess like the Fix figure was.

They were all pretty cheap : I got the Fusion Works for $9.99 and the #23 for $14.99. Figuration fix was $18.99. I don't think the HCM needs part-swapping, I suspect the transformation to be nearly identical to that other Zeta I have.

Wow. That's some awesome stuff right there.

Quick question, though. Those pictures of the HCM seem to be lifted directly from the 1/144 HGUC model. Am I just seeing something that's not really there, or did the HCM just use the exact same angles for the pictures?

I found a gallery of the HCMPro Zeta. Not quite a perfect transformation on that one. You have to switch out the white abdomen parts (compressed for Wave Rider, expanded for Mobile Suit) and remove the fists. Still better than the HGUC and MSIA versions, which require you to remove half the torso.

mx-01 archon, please post the gallery you found! I've been wanting me a HCM Pro Zeta for a good long time. I used to want the Re-GZ as well, but then I got the MG and realized how much of a scam that MS was. No wonder Anaheim Electronics dumped it like a bad habit. My favorite Gundam to play with is my EMSiA Gundam Mk-II. My favorite ones to display are my Deep Stiker and Hummingbird FIXes.

Hmmm, so it seems that only the PG and MG versions of Zeta have the perfect transformation.

For kits you mean? The first 3 Zetas that I have are all perfect transform. And that MCM Pro, pretty sure you can leave the fists on and keep the short white inner torso to keep it a perfect transform.

There's also a partially die-cast figure that I believe has a perfect transformation. I think Megatroptimus picked that one up awhile ago. I believe the FIX figure is as well, but it's reportedly unstable as all hell.

    Here's the gallery link: http://pony-hp2.web.infoseek.co.jp/HCMP-Z.htm

The Kahen Senshi 1/144 scale one had a perfect Transformation. (it came out before the Kahen Senshi ZZ GUndam pictured above) But the figure didn't have the best sculpting and looked really ugly in wave rider mode.

I'm not exactly certain on that, mind you. But there's a distinct absence of extra parts lying around in the box, and if it used the core block transformations of the HGUC and MSIA versions, it'd have no right being floppy, unstable, and fragile like so many people report.

The Fix Zeta does not have perfect transformation, at least my Zeta Plus didn't (and they really are almost the same design, and I'm 99% sure that the two figures shared the same transformation scheme). You had to take parts off and them put them back on in some steps, and I believe a part or two did need to be swapped out as well.
