Has anyone got any decent images of their collections?
Also, does anyone have any thoughts on the HCM figures?

Also I'm very new to Gundam and was wondering; should I get the 1/144 scale kits or the 1/200 HCM figures?

HCMs are really only good as display pieces. Tiny, very detailed, and require no additional work, but some can be rather fragile, and the joints can wear out quickly with frequent play. I also find they're a little more expensive than I'd like them to be, especially for their size (HCMs are around 4 inches tall.)

Model kits and completed figures like HCMs are totally different. Model kits have to be assembled yourself. You can just snap them together, but models tend to look best by sanding down the extra flash (plastic left over from the sprues), and sealing some of the more visible "seams" between the plastic parts. The 1/144 kits don't have many specially colored details, and the included stickers usually suck. You'll need to learn how to paint and panel line to get the most out of them.

    Hope that helps.
