I thought he was best known for "Angel Eyes" and as the guitar player in "Roadhouse"...

    RIP

RIP Healey, you'll sorely be missed. :(

I did like his take on When My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Very sad. I loved his cover of 'The Shape of Things'.

Great guitarist who overcame a huge boundary to be better than most of the sighted guitarists out there.

Man, he was a great guitar player. My stepfather played me a lot of his stuff when I was younger. That's too bad. :(

I only knew him from Roadhouse. Still sad to die that young.

I remember my older sisters listening to him when I was a kid. I was, and still am, amazed at how a blind guy could play a guitar as well as he could.

My dad liked him and tried to get me into him when I was 15 but his music just wasn't my cup of tea.

He opened his own bar on Blue Jay Way called Jeff Healey's Roadhouse and he played there as well. He wanted to give Canadian musicians a place where they could play and have people come and listen to their music.

He lived with retinal blastoma since he was 10 months old and now his infant son has it too and is being treated for it. He had been battling lung and leg cancer when he died the other night.
