Saw that earlier. Not something I will buy, considering my religous views, but there is an audience for it. I don't see the big deal.
I guess my only issue is that it's not from the actual creators of Guitar Hero. Seems like it's a little infringing on their IP, but other than that, eh.
jesus freak ftw..... at least it's GOOD christian music. Actually I'm glad this is hitting the market. The songs seem well picked and it is 112,000 times less pretentious than Guitar Hero Aerosmith EDIT: upon further inspection, if this had any Set it off era Thousand Foot Krutch it would be as good as bought. The song list is really good lol.... Anyone who is familiar with the bands would agree. It's a shame Christian Rock gets a bum rap sometimes. EDIT EDIT: Also bought if it had Stryper
i think its a lot like everything else "zomg robotech has transforming jets. it must be infringing on Transformers" or whatever Guitar Hero is popular and its fun and i'm glad to see there's an alternative personally i'm tempted to pick it up myself. i'm a Christian and will admit that because of the way i live my life i have a hard time playing Guitar Hero [as fun as it admittedly is] and think this is a neat alternative half of the bands in the list there are WAYYYYY good enough to be on the real Guitar Hero. Just because its Christian music or they're Christian musicians doesnt make them somehow less talented. I'd encourage all of you to check out bands like Pillar, Thousand Foot Krutch, and Spoken because they freakin rock [religious beliefs aside] man if i could play some Pillar on Rock Band i think i'd be in heaven. their drummer is utterly amazing [coming from a fellow drummer] and fun to play with so yeah.. dont knock it i think the thing i'm most curious about is how challenging it'll be for those who like to play Guitar Hero
Guitar hero is overrated, kinda like HALO. Just learn to play the real guitar kids, its worth it a lot more!
Hey Josh have you ever heard TFK's first cd? Before set it off, its almost like a garage demo tape. But they cover Cream's sunshine of your mind........ freakin epic man
Agreed. Many of those songs are way better than most of the songs on guitar hero/rock band. I'm not a big music fan really though, it's more Kristen's thing. I know she'd love to have a lot of these bands on Rock Band. I wish they had more than one song by Red, and that it didn't cost so much and that it wasn't on the computer only. I will admit some of the songs are pretty creme puff though. They could have done more and better songs by Pillar, and Jennifer Knapp....really??
ROFL. I actually might just get this for the pure randomness of it. Or maybe I won't. Hey, just because something's overrated, it doesn't make it bad. Guitar Hero is fine for those who don't have the time or patience to play real guitar but still want to play guitar video games.
ya know i dont think ive really heard much of their Set it Off album either i got into 'em at Phenomenon and just LOVE The Flame in All of Us i'll have to check that stuff out tho!
Guitar Hero, Rock Band now this. I am sadly disapointed. Normaly i laugh when something new that will ruin childrens lives comes out (video games make you fat and lazy ha ha ha), but now all i want do is rock, rock (drum solo) Turn it down you say well all i got to say to you is time again i say NO NO no no no no.. Click click green, red. blue green purple? yellow red+green blue...
Back then and during Set if Off they were a lil more hardcore, cuz one of their guitarists back then was pretty influential and he left before phenomenon. But go buy Set it off NOW. IT's punk, It's metal, it's power ballads. IT has a cover of unbelievable, with super fast free style rappin. Probably my favorite Christian rock album ever and definitely in my top 5 favorite albums of any genre. They were like Rage Against the Machine , but christian..... it was awesome. I miss those days, we dont have a decent christian radio station here anymore, and I havent bought a Relient K cd in years
