Im just hoping when GH4 comes it isnt bundled with everything like RB was. My RB drums are sitting in my garage gathering dust. Everytime i tried playing them, it became an exercise in frustration. (I have good hand-eye and good eye-foot coordination, but not at the same time). I just stick to guitar nowadays, and would like to do that with GH4.

    Nice that its wireless though.

My sentiments exactly. Let RB be RB and GH be GH.

Because (even though they say they were thinking of it first) the Rock Band concept and implementation are soundly trouncing them. They either need to keep up with the competition or get left behind as everyone plays RB (And its ever increasing library of songs that extend replayability infinately). If GH doesn't take the same (or better) model with the genre, the franchise will die.

GH4 is going to be the full band.

I like that the cymbols are elevated. Looks like playing them would feel more natural. Thing is I really don't want another drum set and sadly with once this one has more pads I'm guessing the GH and RB drums will not the compatible.

I hope you can get it with just the guitar. Since it's supposedly not coming out for the PS2 I need to either buy it on the PC or Wii/Xbox360 when I can spare the money for them.

Well, I called this. I said like a year ago "The next guitar hero will try to compete by making a better drum kit, and rock band will respond with keyboards."

    Come on, keyboards.

    More like Keytars.

EDIT: The symbols are cool. I thought they would have been in Rockband. As for Rockband 2, I think they should just release a hard copy of the game itself. Buying another set of instruments just because they have improvements (symbols) really seems like a waste of my money.

I'll probably pass on this, with what looks like rock band is not gonna be getting a new edition of the game for awhile and gutair hero coming out with a new one every year its better to just get rock band and pay for new songs then wait for a release of songs once a year.

Will it be released in Europe months after the US version, be horrendously over priced, and just the kit, then you have to shell out for the game separately?

Cause that is the only way to copy Rock Band.

Screw this I'm buying this game solo if it doesn't give me a gituar on par with Rock Bands and doesn't force me to buy drums. I guess my thoughts were right Activision will keep ramping up diffculty till only eltitests can play. I mean seriously I bet a lot of us have a hard time with the four buttons and one kick petal on Rockband, now we need to keep track of another button and on top of that two of them are higher than the others which will make it even harder to remember where they are and hit them on time.

Furthermore given that GH3 was reported to put in extra notes for songs for diffculty's sake then I wouldn't put it past this game either.

I will say that it's nice to see the rhythm games continuing to step it up a notch.

That said, I can't say I fully trust GH4 to implement this very well...going to wait for some reviews before I throw in any support or not. And it'll be at least a year before I consider picking up a new videogame drum set (AFTER I sell my RB ones, for whatever reason that may be when the time comes).

The hell?! Let GH be GH and RB be RB dammit!

Sure there's pressing needs for Activision to step up a notch of be left in the dust but they could always do so by introducing a new series instead of mating GH with... Drum Mania? (DM was one heck of a drum sim btw)
