Here is my take on the colors for Guidoart's Neo Seeker
Here is his original line work.

I decided to color him as Thundercracker

Here is a color variant I just threw together for fun based off of the Colored Seeker Thundercracker that I did

Of Course these are from Guido's Neo Seeker line work

Here is Thundercracker again with fixes that Guido suggested.

Hopefully I got the areas he was talking about.

Here is what he wrote of deviant:

"Hi Sean- criticizing other artist's work is not my forte...anyway I can try

The overall colors work well enough at first glance.
    In detail:
I wouldn't put too much light spots in the shadowed parts and I would use more regulare shapes to define light/shadow areas (in the right shoulder the shadows have strange shapes for a rounded surface - the left one doesn't have that)

I would avoid to put "slits" of light from behind to cut your shadows (it would be better to create another level a overlap a not fully opaque highlight, more like you did on background)
Also I'd keep high contrast where the light impact dramatically: for example, see the lower smaller wing (on the left):
there's a sort of lighter shadow outline around the darker one that somewhat distracts. It would be better to have the inverse, darker around, lighter inside.
But you're using AI CS5 to color (I'm not familiar with at all) so maybe is a software limit (I use Photoshop) and may also depends by the input device you use too (mouse, wacom tablet etc.)
Anyway, try downloading this piece that amazing IDW colorist ~dyemooch did with my Bumblebee lineart
It's full resolution so hopefully you can get a few good ideas.

Hope this helps -Sorry for my english"

    Thanks for the Critique Guido

Both are wonderful, but the with changes he suggested, it does work better to define him from the background. :thumb  :thumb  :thumb

Nice job! Thundercracker's always been one of my favorite Seekers. Would you be able to do Sunstorm sometime? He's my all-time favorite Seeker! :D  Here's his page on tfwiki: Sunstorm
