I think it makes sense to have him look like G1 Prowl. We all know that if Hasbro had a toy of him, that's the mold they would have used.

I wish I was good at custom painting. I'd so make a Barricade figure out of a Prowl.

I think that has some merit - I do think that Wheeljack might work as a starting point too if you note how much the War for Cybertron version of Barricade look like Wheeljack in vehicle mode.

And the idea of a Police Wheeljack is a fun one.

But Prowl's mould in Black kind of like Deep Cover would have some merit too.

That might be worth doing with the Universe Spychanger Prowl too.

Meh. Would've rather seen his take on a classics update. Also, if this was for Regeneration I'd be more excited about it

Only downside is that radicons would have to use the godawful Prowl mold to make this.

It's not Barricade unless the doors turn into the forearms

I like it! Quite varied from his movie appearance but still quite cool.

True that, so a G1 Red Alert could work even better!

Huh. Now that could be a cool Botcon set... It would be cohesive as a theme, but still be "all across the board"..

"Transformers: Generation Gap" - G1 renditions of other universe characters.

    Barricade (Universe Prowl)
    Bulkhead (Universe Onslaught)
    Slipstream (Universe Cyclonus)
    Knockout (RTS Jazz)
    Demolishor (HFD Hailstorm)
    Scourge (RTS Optimus Prime)

I could probably keep going but you get the idea...

Imminent blatant self promotion.... stand back!

That was kinda the idea of one of my proposed Botcon sets, Set #5 in this thread:

    Botcon Ideas (with digibashes)

I'd like something like what you're suggestion. I enjoy latecomer (but popular) characters being retconned back into the G1 universe. And "Generation Gap" is a better name than the one I came up with. :)

I like what Guidi's doing here with Barricade, it's nicely retro. It would be cool to see an Encore release based on this and using the G1 Prowl mold (sort of like the Crosscut/Skids and Rescue Ratchet/Black Ironhide movie nods that were released through E-Hobby.... though perhaps their poor sales performance would dissuade Takara from trying this).

Meh. I was expecting something original, not just a Prowl rehash...

I wonder what Reprolabels can do with Universe Silverstream and some labels.

I like it in a nostalgic way, but I was hoping for something a little more modern atristic-wise. Still drastically better than the Neo-Seeker design.
