Recently ive been inspired by the 'Cool 'stuff' thread (should now be known as the 'Cool Boobies' thread :p ) to buy some female anime figures, ive got my eye on a Bome Kasumi figure and the Koto Sera-Chan figure posted in the aformentioned thread, but what i want is to find a website like this one that deals with these figures as i dont know much about them, ive looked on ebay and other sites and spotted a few i like the look of but id like to know more about what im buying, get and idea of what lines i like and should focus on etc

Any links would be appreciated...plus its another chance to post this pic of one of the first figures im gonna buy:

Well if you really like Bome figures I think there's a book detailing what is out there.

Or you can check out this thread on animepunch.com

For more general figures I'm not sure what a good site would be. Sorry.

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=KOT10043&mode=retail for the Sera-chan figure. BBTS is freaking awesome for figures!

My figures come from 3 places.
    BBTS
    HLJ
    eBay

I like to do a little research on some of them before I buy, but I don't really have any source for that other than google.

If you have any questions on wether a figure is good quality, just post here and maybe one of us owns it.
Oh, and watch out for bootlegs when on ebay!! I've fallen to this twice... well, 3 times actually, however there was one rare case where the bootleg was just as good quality, in paint and detail as the official version! Only the bootleg's bikini was black instead of white...

I usually go to this site just to oogle at what's hot and upcoming: www.amiami.com

But unless you can read Jap, you're not going to be able to tell what's what.

She isn't from an anime. This character is from the "Art of Shunya Yamashita" collection, which contains all/mostly original characters.

No she's just wearing a school girl uniform. And frankly it's hard to find a girl in japanese animation that doesn't at some point wear one, or at least a series without one.

Watch out on ebay though, lots of auctions are for model kits require assembly and painting. Read the description carefully so you know what you're getting.
