The first I heard of them was the last Avengers episode, but this could be very interesting indeed.

Makes sense if you take the Avenger´s ending scene into account.

It just occurred to me, they could use Thanos as a springboard to launch the Guardians movie. Marvel's already trying to push them into the mass market with the appearance in the cartoon and toys.

If they don't get Greg Ellis to voice Rocket Raccoon in the movie, I will be a sad panda.

Get Rocket Raccon to be voiced by John DiMaggio. Since he did voiced Leadfoot.

In all seriousness, now that Avengers is over, I won´t bother spoiling it. Since Thanos was hinted, the Guardians movie makes sense, since they can be tied to Thanos.

Big Hero 6? Wow! Looks like Marvel is really trying to develop some of their more unique yet obscure characters.

I'd love to see them do something with Iron Fist though, especially with the mythology and cast they developed in the Immortal Iron Fist series, that thing has stuff they could build an anime series out of.

I'd love to see the Guardians on film, though I'm more partial to the original one, not the Peter Quill version.

I think their worried the time travel aspect may be too much at this early juncture. But if cosmic does well it could lead to other cosmic characters such as Nova or Captain Marvel. If they plan a marvel movie you can bet DC/Warner will finally do their Captain Marvel that they have been in various script stages for years now.

    Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

It's pretty much official, the secret movie for Marvel Studios is GOTG.

Looking forward to seeing this on screen. Always nice to see more of Marvel's obscure characters make it to the big time. That said, I hope they find a way to bring in some of the original Guardians. I was a big fan of the Valentino book during the 90s, and loved how Vance Astro and Starhawk got featured in the recent series.

I do like the quest for the Infinity Gems, but I think that would work better as a TV series rather than a movie. Just too short a time to really do a quest thing, especially since it'll probably involve splitting the team up. Maybe they can do one for the Cosmic Cube, or at the very least, the Soul Gem first. Of course, given that Thanos seems to be the new Avengers Big Bad, I doubt Marvel would toss him in into another movie, and risk over exposure. An adaptation of the Annihilation War would be a pretty good alternative, and provide a good "coming together" storyline as they escape from the Annihilation wave's initial strikes, form a team, and then fight back.

As long as we see some backstory on Thanos and Rocket Racoon kicking ass, I'll be happy. :)
