Just got him, and I love this guy. However, some of these deco issues are pretty severe, and I'd like him to be more screen-accurate! I know some of these are recurring in the line, but I consider the HA line to be "collector-grade" figures, and some of these inaccuracies do bug me.

    Stuff I've noticed so far:

-The side car numbers (643) are missing
    -The 9-1-1 announcement is missing
-The button/gas cap is a flat grey; in the film no such cap is visible (the cap is black and flush with the panel)
-The license plate number is incorrect
-The word "POLICE" on the spoiler is printed inwards, instead of the screen-accurate outwards
-The fog lights on the figure are black; in the film they are white
-Frenzy's eyes are red, instead of blue

A paintbrush can fix some (Fog lights, Gas cap, Frenzy's eyes) , but I hope Reprolabels jumps on some of the more intricate details!!

    product and colors may vary.

also you have to remember these are not made for nit picky collectors some of us are, myself included. they are made for kids that play with them and dont care about these issues.

also the gas cap is that color because it is the button that pops his bladed tire out, also done i am sure so kids know where it is.

Do these missing details really detour a purchase. Is the missing 911 affecting transformation?

just enjoy it for the design and aesthetics, thats why i try to do. nothing is every going to be perfect or accurate in the transformer world, just got to accept it. if you feel your money does not justify what you think it should be, return it.

I like the human alliance line, I really do.

But it pains me that the quality and accuracy of these things is less than the Alt/BT toys were. That's really what these things needed to be.

I think what pains me most is that by doing this line, Hasbro probably feels they've answered the demand for BT quality movie transformers. The BT were pretty close to photo accurate model cars. These things LOOK like toys. In some cases more like toys than the deluxe versions.

If you guys don't want yours, I'll take them. These are minor details to me. I really don't watch the movies at all anymore , so to me the paint apps are accurate

Frenzy's eyes are easily explained: Hasbro wants to keep the Decepticons red-eyed, Autobots blue-eyed. I think the only reason Frenzy had blue eyes in the movie was so they could transform into the stereo's LED screen, which is supposed to be blue (I'm guessing it was product placement, and they don't have those stereos with red LED screens).

The license plates are almost never right, and Hasbro often uses them for fun messages. I like that.

I'm not too sure about all the other missing details, or why they printed POLICE wrong..I'm waiting for my HA Barricade to arrive, but I too feel it's too bad the 911 and car indentification numbers are gone...maybe because of legal issues?

I'm pretty sure Reprolabels will be able to fix these things for you in the near future, though! Things like the cas cap are easy to paint yourself, too. :)

    I noticed, thanks.

They don't "detour" (I think you mean deter) my purchase if I can fix them.

But yes, part of what I find fun about a "Transformers Movie Toy" is for my toy to look like what I saw in the movie. If it doesn't, then I would like for it to. It's a personal preference, and it's the reason I don't go in for "Super Disco Ironhide," or whatever the latest neon redeco is.

If you prefer Barricade like he is, then awesome. Enjoy him.

    As a side note:
I am continually impressed how people in this fandom can criticize other people for what they enjoy. Different people like their toys for different reasons, you know.

It's an awesome toy, I couldn't really care less about the missing deco stuff.

I'm pretty happy with them treading the line between toy and collector on the human alliance stuff. For the most part, the gimmicks either don't get in the way or they can be removed. Unlike Binaltech and Alternators, these aren't a pain to transform and can actually pose without tons of kibble restrictions. (Not that I don't enjoy my Hound, Jazz, and Ricochet!)

Yes, they are less accurate cars like BT\A tried to be, but as long as it gives an approximation I'm okay with that. They can only approximate the robots too, so I'm happy with 'looks cool' over 'looks accurate', even if I really want 'looks accurate.' (Though admittedly, 'looks accurate' is easier to get right on car paint. :lol )

I much prefer it when they concentrate a little more on the robot than the car anyway, because I do not collect cars.

But it sounds like the op enjoys the toy aspects of it, so at least its not all bad. :)

I really do. It occurred to me that they might have left the "911" part (the most glaring omission, IMO) off because of where that app would end up in robot mode. No, though, It's his forearm, which is where it winds up on Barricade in the movie.

I contacted Reprolabels with an inquiry; I'll update if they let me know anything.

    :lol

I heard one of the guys on the podcast running Barriade down too. He was nit-picking the hips.

My opinion is that Barricade is the best Human Alliance toy, so far and a great Transformer.

The word "POLICE" on the spoiler is printed inwards?

My earlier post may have come off a little agressive and I just wanted to clarify. I am really looking forward to this figure. And a few missing or wrong paint aps is no big deal to me. It does bother me a little to thing of the money paid for these guys should mean a little more accurate pain apps. But in the end, I am just glad they made him, because I love Barricade and the deluxe did not do him justice.

Barricade is by far my favorite HA and probably the best one they've made. I did know there were some details missing but I don't mind. I'm usually very neurotic about things like this but since it's practically impossible for a movie-former to be 100% accurate anyway, I tend to excuse it. We should all be used to flames in the wrong places (or missing altogether), inaccurate or missing decals, missing details on the vehicles... none of them are perfect and I tend to give more leeway to a mass-market toy.

Reprolabels has made some great sets for other movie-formers so maybe this one will get the treatment too.

    o_O  Yes, really.

Sure, those are natural compromises. Movie Prime's toys can't have 20,000 moving parts. That's why I was looking to see if maybe it was a compromise to the 'bot mode. It isn't though; the 911 app is large on Barricade's forearm in TF1.

To all you who are being so grumpy at me, I'm not talking about nitpicks like "the dashboard is light gray, it should be dark gray." I'm talking about 2 out of the 3 biggest characteristics of the car's paint job being incorrect or missing altogether. That's not like having one or two fewer flames on Prime, that's like completely forgetting he has them.
