That may be true, but most of the people that I've talked to about the film that aren't hardcore Transformers fans could honestly care less. Some didn't even notice it.

Blackout was dead. They had one Cube shard and one only, which was used to revive Megatron. And again my point about Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, G1 Starscream and G1 Thundercracker... As for the blips, it should have been six both times.

Where does it say that the shard could only be used once?

Perhaps it's due to the fact that there ain't any shard left after Scalpel thrusts it into Megatron. Let it go, man.

this, aslo i think that after the sahrd is used for revive a robot or awake a bot on stastic lock it get absorbe by the robot or it gets destroyed after beign used, Cuz has you see when jetfire is aweake form stastic lock, you see the shard disspair (how its spelled?), so its clear that after its used on a robot on stastic lock or on a dead bot, the shard vanish forever

So? I'm pretty sure Bay doesn't give a f*ck. And neither do I, TBH. There are multiple differences between the movies and the comics. The Fallen is the best example of this. So I wouldn't really pay too much attention to the comics. :)

As much as I've liked a lot of the RoTF comics that have come out (particularly RoS and some of the ToTF issues), he's right. They just called a Chromia repaint Elita-1, when she was also clearly killed in RoS. It's not gonna make any difference to Bay and his writers, and Hasbro doesn't have their shit straight on a lot of characters, so I still say Vortex for TF3 getting killed!

dosent mean that she is the same character, cuz in tales of the fallen 6 we see that elita-1 is not the same elita from RoS

Getting shot in the chest is not necessarily insta-death. Haven't you seen Snatch?

Or Revenge of the Fallen for that matter. Sideswipe, among others, takes a shot to the chest not unlike Arcee does. Arcee got thrown down, the larger Sideswipe kept on.

It was probably intended to be a fatal shot, sure.

But it's comics. Nobody seems to stay dead in comics. If a storyline popped up and they needed the character again, a little black & white flashback panel showing him being repaired is all it would take to undo the intention.

But again, sure, that looks like it's meant to be a kill shot to me.

    Dude.

I respect it if you pay a lot of attention to what happens in the comics (I too find them useful for filling in gaps), but the films pay very little attention to them. Like, an astronomically small amount of attention. Please stop acting as if a character named Vortex dying in a comic is a reason why there can't be a character named Vortex in the third film. It's not a valid complaint. Characters can share names.

We've got two Devastators running around as it is.

As its been said, Bay doesn't give a F*** about the tie in comics. What's the excuse for that? He doesn't care - probably the only characters he knows by name are Prime and Bumblebee because they are toy whores, the Twins because they're the kid-appeal mo'fos, Devastator because of the balls he wanted, and maybe Ironhide too, since he likes to blow up stuff.

Bay won't give a damn. Which leaves the door completely open.

    K'done.

Vortex for TF3 as another Blackout-drone!
