It's so worthless having Grindor be a completley new character when all he does is die. I think it would just make much more sense if the Cons resurrected him along with Megatron too, it makes alot more sense than having a Blackout clone who's suppose to be a different person. Anyone else agree?

True. I don't like that a character like Blackout is just one of many drones mass produced to bulk up the Decepticon army.

Outside of collector's I don't think anyone, especially in the general movie going crowd, even knows it was suppose to be 'Grindor - the new helicopter Con that looks a lot like the now dead Blackout'.

The Constructicons actually did resurrect, or bring back Blackout. The problem is that not enough details were shown on screen, as to what exactly the constructicons did after Megatron came back.

So, no, there was no Grindor, it was Blackout, I mean the robot even had rust spots all over him from the sea, that alone should be enough evidence from the lack of explanation. :dj

Now, as to why this dude got taken out too fast, it's Bay's thing, personally Blackout should have survived that battle.

How many times has this been discussed before? Like a poster above mentioned, the general audience probably assumes it was Blackout.

    That's what I thought too.

However, wasn't his helicopter mode a different model than Blackout's?

NO, it was flat out Grindor, sheesh, protoforms look the same, so wouldn't the robot modes look the same too if two protoforms scanned basically the same vehicle (and yes grindor is a different chopper (CH-53) but it is just a larger version of the MH-53(blackout) so GRINDOR LOOKS LIKE BLACKOUT!!!!

    sheesh use logic

Correct. Grindor was a Super Stallion, Blackout was a Pave Low.

But... he was a different robot! Nobody questions when jets do it, but everytime some other robots want to dress the same... NOW it's too much to handle.

It doesn't really matter, does it? In G1, dead guys inexplicably reappeared all the time. It's tradition!

Although Grindor looks the same as Blackout, doesn't he transform into a DIFFERENT helicopter model than Blackout?

I'm fine with Grindor and Blackout being separate characters. I just think of them as having the same Protoform mold... kinda like in G1, with the Seekers.

blackout was not ressurected, and blackout did died becuase you can see his parts being throwed on the ocean on movie 1, aslo i dont think the allsaprk shard can ressurect 2 bots, i presume only it only can ressurect 1 dead bot,

or like Dinobot Nuva sayed, you consider him blackout in your personal canon

I personally like the idea that death only a temporary problem to Optimus and Megatron.

    Pretty much this.

I never liked the idea of clones. Ever. Having a Blackout clone in ROTF without really giving any reason or clarification as to why, makes me think that Blackout was just another "Cloneicon" made on a assembly line. It then leads me to think... well, what if Brawl, Frenzy and Barricade were the same? Bonecrusher (or a clone of his) showed up in ROTF too, without any explanation. It ruins the uniqueness and individuality of a character.

I use a WHOLE LOT of personal canon for the Movieverse, honestly. So much unexplained and unexplored stuff going around with that.
