I have been watching HD version of the TV spot Dinobots and noticed that Grimlocks TRex is not that big considering he is not a normal sized T-Rex or he is? I could be wrong here.

    Here is what I mean...

This is a shot of Grimlock's T-Rex head. Its big don't get me wrong but since he is really a big T-Rex not normal size. Its big should be bigger.

Grimlock's scale is all over the place in the trailers anyway.

Hell the scale for this movie is pretty much fucked at large no point in even mentioning it.

    I disagree. A lot.

In the trailers, as far as I can tell, any issues with scale are cause by perspective. Like the first one where people said Grimlock was smaller, the impression is created because he's turning.

Here, it's perfect scale. Grimlock's jaws in this shot...are enormous. I've been next to both Tyrannosaurus and Tarbosaurus jaws, and Grimlock's enormous compared to them. If we factor in Optimus' height, Grimlock's head is anywhere between 10-15 feet tall. Which is in scale with pretty much every trailer we've seen.

hmmm.. pretty interesting points which leads me to lockdown? How the heck is he man handling Prime? A lamborghini is small compared to a truck so he should be puny compared to Optimus but No he is owning Prime. Anyway, can't wait for the movie itself. I don't expect a good story... I'm way past that..I just love Dinobots period and its enough for me to drool.

We haven't seen enough of that fight scene to know how it ends. Lockdown gets some good hits but Optimus definitely does too.

Scale is all over the place for this film judging by the trailers. Grimlock chances sizes between scenes shown in the trailer and the size of the robots riding the Dinobots chances also depending on the scene - in order to make the Dinobots seem more imposing.

As for the case with Lockdown that some people have been mentioning - his smaller size should indeed make him less effective - especially when Optimus weighs so much yet is easily kicked around by Lockdown.

While that's a good point it doesn't explain how Lockdown has the power in him to kick Optimus so hard he flies into a wall...

Grimlock is not meant to be in scale with a human as shown in the pic with a human next to an earth t-Rex. Grim is meant to be in scale to Cybertronians lol.ni thought we all figured this out a while ago?

That was more a response to saying Lockdown owns Optimus.

That screen shot is silly and way out of scale considering Optimus rides him.

    Ugh..

I was curious so I messed around in photoshop using RedGoblin's AOE scale chart and a poster/promo image. There are definitely some... inconsistencies.[IMG]

They're not ranting, they're just seeing if there are size inconsistencies.

There does seem to be, comparing various marketing materials and trailer stills. I suspect that Grimlock's size in the actual film will be a constant though.

    Camera angles affect a lot.

On the other hand, something is DEFINITELY up with Lockdown's size. He appears nearly Prime's size and while the Aventador is not a small car by any means....it's still roughly Bumblebee/Camaro sized.

Lockdown is much thinner and lankier in the leg department, and arms, most of the mass is on his torso, while bee is much bulkier (in AoE anyway.)
