Gremlins Might be ok, but the puppets would work better. Lost Boys 2 might be ok if it is in a different city with a similar scenario and maybe it is one of the original casts kids in trouble.

Goonies.. Time is long long passed on any hope of this being good. What will it be their kids this time?

I have very little faith remaining in Hollywood. It's become such a huge corporate clusterfuck that all they let anybody do anymore is copy things that are already popular and sue kids who rip DVDs.

Nobody can think of cool original movies now, that's why we're getting so many sequels to movies that happened in a totally different decade here lately. As much as I loved Lost Boys and Goonies, I dunno... This doesn't sit well after being hearing about CGI Ghostbusters 3.

    anything old is new again....

Cars are taking the retro look (Mustang, Camaro, etc)...old shows are (some coming) back (Thudercats, TMNT, etc)...old video games (Virtual Console, X-Box Live, and Playstation Store)...sequels to old movies (Cinderella III, Ghostbusters CGI, and this)...

Ah, they don't mention the best part. Rumor is that the Lost Boys 2 will be about surfing vampires in California. I'm totally serious.

Speaking of bad ideas, anyone else hear about the film Teeth?

Any one of those taken alone could vie for dumbest idea ever. Taken together..it's insane. What's next? Red Dusk, Ferris Bueller's Younger Brother's Day Off, Pretty In Puce...Top Gun: Part Deux? Yeesh, man. The '80s revival thing is played out. Let. It. Go. Don't piss on new classics with some ******ed sequel that has nothing to do with the original.

New Jack City, while not '80s and lacking the cheese appeal like the others, is still just as bad. It's been kicking around in some level of infancy since like, 1992. If it had been made 15 years ago, it might have actually had something to do with events in the first movie, with returning cast members; now it's liable to be completely unrelated in cast and veryvery marginally in story.

Gremlins, Goonies & Lost Boys were AWESOME. I only hope these are nearly as good. Doubt they're even close

I'm expecting them to make Goonies a family movie. Kind of like how they completely ruined The Land Before Time.
