Green tea Coca Cola to debut in Japan Green tea-flavored Coca-Cola will hit Japanese stores June 8, Coca Cola (Japan) Co. spokesman Katsuya Sato said Thursday. It contains tea antioxidants called catechins, leaves a slight green tea aftertaste and is mainly targeted at health-conscious women in their 20s and 30s, Sato said. "We wanted to cater to people who are looking for something that tastes good but is also good for health and beauty," he said. Coca Cola is the leader in Japan's cola market but faces stiff competition from non-carbonated bottled drinks such as tea, coffee and fruit juices. Rival Pepsi Cola is countering with another exotic cola - Japanese basil-flavored "Pepsi Shiso," which hits stores in late June.
Green tea flavored Coke maybe, but basil flavored Pepsi? Yuck. Basil is a cooking spice for pete's sake, like garlic and parsley. But you wouldn't put those in your Pepsi.
Great! this reminded me that I wish , i could of gotten a "Raspberry Coke" while it was out in New Zealand. "Don't know it still is though"...
That actually doesn't sound too bad. But I wish to god that Pepsi would bring back Mountain Dew Livewire. That was the best stuff. Ever.
Well Technically, all i need to do is mix Raspberry "we call" Cordial .. (just in case it isn't called that, where your from IMO it's some sort of surgery flavored concentrate you add to water that gives it flavor ) with Coke and there we have Raspberry Coke
Hmmm it sounds intresting but I don't think I'd keep drinking it. Dr Pepper berries and cream ftw too bad it's not being made anymore.
I'd try it. Nothing could possibly be as bad as the Brussel Sprout soda that Jones put out in it's holiday packs.
actually, everyone else gets the good stuff. While i was deployed, i got to taste the awesome Fanta Red Cream soda...wish it was here in the US.
