So I accepted that GLTAS was finished. And then this happened. http://31.media.tumblr.com/b6406dd1f5c6834cc726335351a78483/tumblr_mrywi1kykS1rpxmo9o1_500.png

That recording session might have been from Justice League Adventures: Trapped in Time. Jason voiced the Flash in it. The voice director there did JLA.
Bruce Timm released artwork for the cancelled season 2. So, we would have gotten: - the rise of Sinestro and his Yellow Lanterns - Hawkman as an ally and supporting character - underage teen sidekick-love interest Arisia (this was from the comics, so Timm was just being faithful)
Well hal would later find out that her people counted years different than ours. But yeah the original version was a little messed up till later writers fixed it.
Man, the things that could have been... Blackest Night, War of Light and the Sinestro Corps war would have been amazing in animated form. They could have also done a different take on Parallax possessing Hal, not to mention the Rann-Thanagar war. GL Animated was such an underrated show... and cancelled because there was no toy representation.
It was canceled because the movie bombed and the movie toys didn’t sell. They had already decided to cancel it before the first season aired.
Damn. I still hope that someday it can be revived proper. C'mon Zaslav, you said that you wanted more kids programming on HBO Max right? Well there you go!
Of course I'd love to see GL continued some day... But what is that costume? Why would Hal need a costume change, especially to that design? Lantern suits work best when they're relatively simple. The extra details of this costume just...Don't feel necessary.
True, the movie bombed, but that had little effect on the animated series. The live action movie was released and failed in 2011, but the series kept going through 2013 and received good ratings. The series didn't have any toy representation besides McDonalds Happy meal toys. You could say that because the movie toys were garbage, they figured that anything else GL-related would sell poorly, but anything green in DCUC at the time sold quite well.
Yes but the movie actually greatly affected the show as it bombed so bad the toys from it were still in the clearance bins at toys r us when the show came out. As I said it was cancelled before season 1 even aired. But it had already been paid for so they released it.
Ya if DC animation had to continue Ava's and Rahzar's story via Justice League Action and Young Justice, it shows me they have intent giving GL his own show right now.
