I want to get 3.75'' figs from this but if Mattel uses the same sculpting techniques they've been using last few years I think I'll pass on those. Might pick up a couple 6'' figs though.
Oh sweet, I hope those 3.75 figs turn out well. I really don't like Mattel's engineering on those right now... And I'm really looking forward to the Movie Masters. I'd be interested to see if they go beyond the standard human body size. I know we'll get Hal, Sinestro, Hammond, and maybe Tomar-Re. But I want to see if they go beyond that, with unique character sculpts. Should be interesting to see how they pull it off... I really do hope they go bigger then 6-inches, so maybe we can get a MM Kilowog. And of course I hope Hot Toys gets this license...
If the preview figure from the GLC Wave 2 is any indication, then the movie masters should be pretty awesome. I have zero hope for anything smaller than that. Mattel has proven time and again they can't handle smaller figurers that can appeal to anyone but 6 yr olds.
Yeah, I'm just hoping that they can at least LOOK decent on a shelf. But then again, look what they did with the 3.75 Movie Joker.
I think that was predominantly retro cast from the 5" Joker though, the head sculpts are similar. Over at HISS Tank, someone mentioned that the WWE team might be working on the 3-3/4" figures, and Mattel's WWE team does well with: Sense of scale(especially compared to Jakks...holy shit...) Likeness/sculpt Full articulation(look at Legends/Elites) To me that's far better than what the DCIH team was delivering.
Really hoping Mattel ups their ante on the 3 3/4" figures, the vehicle assortment interests me somewhat though.
I am both looking forward to and dreading this line at the same time, at least until we start seeing some images of the toys, that is. I've become quite taken with the 3 3/4" line of figures, thanks to IM2 and MU, but the DCIH were just horrid looking. I'm really hoping that Mattel ups its game for the 3 3/4" line. The Classics probably won't be available here, but the Movie Masters should be, which will be cool.
I kind of had a good idea of how they could/might release a Movie Masters Kilowog. Just release him as a Collect-and-Connect figure with the other Movie Masters. I'm also a bit suprised we haven't seen pictures of the toys yet, seeing as we've seen a lot of the Captain America and Thor toys, and Mattel kept bragging about how much stuff they're going to do for the movie.
They just did that with DCUC Kilowog in wave eleven. Mattel does that. But it is still 5 months until the movie. Give 'em time.
I know. I even have all of the series 11 figures on the way to me right now, mainly for Kilowog. I'm just saying that they could do it with Movie Kilowog too in the Green Lantern Movie Masters line.
Still waiting for pictures of Movie Masters Kilowog... Speaking of which, this shirt provides a full body look at Kilowog from the movie. Looks pretty cool to me.
i liked reading this part "In addition, Warner Brothers revealed licensing agreements with other important companies like NECA, Funko, Rubies, Mezco, Pressman and more" emphasis on NECA!!!
Wow, I'm liking the looks of almost all that stuff. - Movie Masters are a shoo-in. - 3-3/4"-scaled ring constructs that (presumably, by the name) transform? Check. - Roleplay wrist blaster along the lines of the TF ones? Coolio. - Wearable projecting ring? Hell yes.
