MAN! Marvel may be winning the live action war (minus Dark Knight) but NO ONE tops DC animated movies. Jeez, what a great movie this was. It for the first time, made the lil kid in me raise his hand and say, I wanna be a Green Lantern! Animation was crisp and the fight scenes were well choreographed. Even snuck in a few guest surprises I wasn't expecting. Great storytelling within storytelling.

Surprised this didn't already have a thread. Anyone else seen it?

I'm new to the green lantern comics, I've read rebirth and Sinestro corps war.. But yeah this seemed like it was a nice foray into the gl mythos and gave some nice background into characters that (as far as I know) aren't super well known or popular.

Mogo's story was my favourite with kilowog's coming in second =]

Is it as good as/better than First Flight? Because that's still one of, if not my favourite DC animated movies so far.

I thought I was great. A little confused as it looks like it is not a sequal to First Flight. Good for anyone new to the GL world though...

Actually TJ I think it is kind of a sequel, and Destron its BETTER than First Flight! Even allowed me to look past Kilowog's ugly design. haha

I thought it was really good. My only real problem with it was the continued use of the designs and animation studio from First Flight, which would lead a lot of people to think it was a sequel. I REALLY want a sequel to First Flight. I thought Victor Garber made the perfect Sinestro and I want to see him reprise the character.

    Me too, switch!

I was disappointed to hear in the movie its not the same guy. I think he did a far better job. His voice just had that something more that really helped make the character for me

And even tho its not a sequel im glad they used the same animation models

    I think everyone looks perfect!
I love the sorta armored look

For me it was the little poetic touches that were added that really made the movie special for me.

To put it in the best non-spoilerific way I can, my favorite scene was a battle with holographic photo albums playing in the foreground to provide a striking contrast and a real sense of inner turmoil and conflict to the scene.

    Genius!
