And yet all the people at my school call them a crappy emo band. Oh well, they're probably just .
Bullshit they're emo. I'd say they've become pop-rock, or at least pop-punk.
I just think of them as a Rock band. They are not what they where but I don’t think what they have become is bad. They are evolving musically and many people don’t like change.
Personally I have not had a use for them since the indy days, though some parts of Dookie had merit.
Other than the fact they've become yet another "I'm a celebrity so I'm going to become preachy about politics" band, I still like Green Day. Crazy news story though, at least album covers are good for something
She PICKED IT UP and brought it to her dad. I bet he was thrilled with the present.
A 12 year old girl doesn't know what a goddamn grenade looks like? Fuck, she should of just pulled the pin and saved us the trouble.
^ No doubt man
"Hey daddy, look a popper"
Pretty wierd finding it in a garden and it was still live.
No shit man.
I actually like Green Day, even though it's over played to the extreme. The style is nice, even if the politics is spread a bit thick. My Mom says that it sounds like early Beatles with heavier guitar work, and listening to it after realising that gave me new appreciation for the album.
Cool, but her not knowing what a grenade is , is weird. I actually though the American Idiot cd was great, but that is just me.
No kidding. My son is THREE and he knows what a grenade looks like!
Anyone else think that picking up a 60 some year old explosive you found laying your yard might not have been such a great idea?
At least those sort of lyrics have more a bit more meaning than those that are basically simply about drug use and the "loser life" or what the hell ever their old lyrics were about. I can respect them somewhat for at least trying to mature and give some sort of relevant social commentary, no matter how contrived it may have been.
As for the story, el oh el.
I don't know, I think this story is negated by the fact that if I hear "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" one more time I'm liable to go on a killing spree.
So she knew it was an object designed to go boom, and then thought it would be smart to pick it up?
See this is the kind of world we get when violence are guns ect are taken out of cartoons.
Oh and I like Greenday for what its worth.
Amen to that.
