Ok so as of now we have 3 Transformer Films in the books. Which one is the greatest? Rank them and explain why?

    Transformers The Movie 1986

    Transformers 2007

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen 2009

When the dust settles which will be deemed the greatest?

I first saw the 1986 movie 9 years ago and didnt liked it much 'cause of the music and Unicron.

I've seen it many times after that and consider it to be a good movie.
The theme song by Lion is one of the best things with it!!!

TF1 was good but after seeing ROTF I ask myself, can i go back to TF1? Was TF1 enough? The answer is no, ROTF is a killer ride.

    My ranking is:

1st Place: ROTF, reason bots, bots, bots!

2nd Place: 1986 Movie without DARE and The Touch (i just don't like 'em), reason, G1 Baby!

    3rd Place: TF1
, reason, was just the tip of a possible iceberg.

I think the 1986 movie is the most important. It was a commercial failure in its initial release, but it set up the sustaining interest in the franchise and its characters.
The 2007 edition is next, showing the brand can exist and succeed in a different market. 2009 keeps the ball rolling.

QFT. I really believe that if they hadn't killed Prime, TF wouldn't be what it is today.

Now if I were listing my favorites, it'd ROTF, 2007, TFTM. But for greatest, I'd have to reverse that order. TFTM for the reasons stated above, 2007 since they showed it was possible to do this movie and make the general public interested in it. ROTF last, just because it doesn't really add anything new to the line or mythos like the other 2 did.

ROTF- Awesome action, and tons of bots.

Transformers (2007)- Good story, good action, good reboot to the big screen.

Trasformers the Movie (1986)- I didn't like this movie at all. I watched the series, and when I finished the movie, I was like "The hell was that?". Not as good as the series.

    1. TF2009 (much action and SFX and a great Optimus Prime kicking asses)
    2. TF2007 (was a pioneer in making Transformers looking good in a live action movie)
    3. TF1986 (the movie was awesome until the coronation/death of Starscream, the rest was not amusing me after Hot Rod plays the new hero and most of the tunes i didn't like.

    I rank them like this.

    1. TFM

    2. TF2

    3. TF1

TF1 was our introduction to a live action universe. We saw many of the greats in this movie, but we did not see enough of them. The whole cube in Megs chest was stupid.

TF2 was had the Megs/Starscream issues we know and love, but didn't develop new & old favs like Soundwave, Arcee, Ironhide, Ratchet. I dont think they should have killed Devs so quickly.

TFM the original!! The best IMO. Too many quotable moments, An under appreciated score, d-cons wiping everyone out on the first jet. Just total awesomeness

ROTF is better than the first one. Why? Lot's and lot's of bots! More screentime for Optimus and more lines for the bots too.

    Good call.

I liked them all. 1986 had some seriously fantastic sequences. When the robo-voice comes in during the opening credits and saws your bones with "robots in disguise", you know you're there.

2009 explored the TF universe a bit. It had a lot of Transformers beating each other up, getting blown up, or getting powered up. It was good there and honestly, it's flaws are overlooked since I look towards comics and cartoon episodes for plot and intrique, not blockbuster movies.

2007 was good in that it really had the mystery of the hidden robots explored that ultimately culminated with a good fight at the end. It was pretty solid, I'd say.

It is interesting to see that many are placing TF1 on the bottom of the list.
