    Has to be Masterpiece Optimus.

Of all the Optimus Primes, when he came out, he had the biggest impact. He actually altered how people drew G1 Optimus and, generally, has BECOME the standard for what G1 Optimus looks like. He has the Diecast and rubber tires of G1, the poseability of Classics, the features of a highly detailed, non-transformable model kit of statue, and has engineering that stands up to the best toys of today.

That's not to say I don't love the others. Of any major lines, Classics Optimus is my favorite, for being the most fun, best gimmicks, and just generally looking good with other toys of his line (Rather than dwarfing them mercilessly).

But when the name 'Optimus Prime' is mentioned, it's still MP Optimus that pops into my head first.

I went with ROTF, Masterpiece is the superior G1 Prime without question, but is not really playable with, where as ROTF Prime is.

Joint equal in my eyes, with animated voyager Prime in 2nd place. G1 Prime was G1 prime and I played with mine for the best part of 10 years and he still sits on the shelf today 25 years later.

I have Hybrid-style Convoy. That's my best Prime. It has all the accessories, and I was able to find it cheap :D

I know I'm gonna flamed, but the best Prime IMO is G1 Optimus Prime.

Why would you get flamed for that? G1 prime is awesome (especially in context) ~ purely for vehicle mode and accesories, he'd be close to the top of my list (i still can't believe Hasbro or one of the KO companies still hasn't made G1 Primes rifle with a standard peg-hole instead of the goofy-even-for-the-time peg + pistol grip G1 Prime's had)

And yet, I fear putting him in a dynamic pose, as he'll fall very. single. time.

Yeah, I chose RoTF. Aside from Masterpiece, it's the greatest representation of Optimus Prime I've ever seen. On top of that, it has an amazing transformation and gets a few points for being a representation of a movie design, which are balls-to-the-walls complex.

I must say, Masterpiece Prime is a great display piece, what with his accessories and light-uppy-ness and all that jazz... but RoTF is a great toy.

BTW I see no reason for flame to start in this thread, as we can all agree that the majority of these figures are actually GOOD. We're just voting to see whose better/best.

I think it is fair to be put off by aspects of Masterpiece Prime ~ I think he has slightly awkward proportions ~ His heads a bit big, his thighs could be smaller in relation to his lower legs, etc... and his Truck mode is pretty dodgy.

    I still think he's A M A Z I N G, don't get me wrong...

now this i'm curious about ~ mines been in Dynamic poses on my BT/Alt shelf for literally YEARS and has never tipped over, mines a first-run Takara version, i don't know if there was a difference in joint quality or mold degradation down the line... I was always impressed at how poseable he was and how well he held the poses...

I would've voted for Optimus Primal ,but he's not here (I guess since he is a different character.) Anyways I like cybertron prime out of the choices.

playability i would go with g1. it's the one i grew up with and it had a ton of play value especially with the trailer and 'rollie'. i bought the anniversary edition for my son and he is digging it as well. sculpt-wise i would go with mp prime i think.

Imagine if ROTF was made with some die-cast in him?

For me, all die cast does it add unneeded weight and make you all nostalgia-y.

    So no thanks.
