BW Megs by far, and I'm a G1 person!

 

tfp megs: he seems so dark. i like that.

g1 megs: he was hilarious with his shouty voice

Tfa megs: to me he is the best megs. he never got his ass kicked until the very end.

wfc megs: he was just cool

and finally, ROTF megs. they are all my favs.

 

G1 and Beast Wars are tied for me.

Beast Wars Megatron definitely.

 

I was going to say BM Megatron, but then I figured, G1 Megatron conquered Cybertron as well, and managed to hold onto it for longer against a larger force.

BM Megatron is still pretty awesome though.

 

BM Megatron conquered Cybertron without an army. And he wiped out BOTH sides.  

 

Beast Wars Megatron. No question about it. Cream of the crop for all Megatrons.

 

Animated Megs.

 

I'm just going to copy and paste from the last round that someone asked.

Animated.

He has a fleshed out backstory (read the Almanac!) in which he starts out trying to change Cybertron for the better and to gain civil rights for the soldier class. He has the tragic fall and accepts exile from his home world, starting a space empire on the fringe of the galaxy, yet he still plants the seeds to return to his homeworld, even millions of years and several TF generations later. He's smart, charasmatic, sophisticated, and capable, even if he does have the worst run of bad luck ever. Perhaps best of all, he kills his Starscream. A lot.

In short, he's everything you want Megatron to be, lacking in several of the qualities you don't want.

I also give high props to the vastly underrated Superlink Megatron. His sophistry as he beats the slag out of MegaZarak is phenomenal, his treatment of Nightscream is both nightmare fuel (for Nightscream) and brilliant, and he is and does so much more, including making Unicron (Well, body only really,) his slave. Then his character completes his ark from emergence to death with a sacrifice to take out Unicrons Spark.

 

I'm tempted to say G1 Megatron, just 'cuz he's my favorite, but there's really no denying BW Megatron was the biggest evil a-hole of them all

 

Beast Wars/Beast Machines Megatron- He's so evil and charismatic and sexy. Yesssssssss.

Then i'd say Animated, then Cybertron then Armada and then Prime. G1 Megatron was quite incompetant as leader "RETREAT!!!!!!!!" and RiD Megatron sucks peroid all he ever did was do jack shit while his idiotic minions failed to do their work.

 

Transformers: Prime Megatron; he's the best balance of all the different Megs combined plus he's just badass.

 

G1 megatron. black hole fusin cannon.. All other Megs = Dead.

Beast Era Megatron, release virus and place G1 Megatron in stasis lock. Then removes spark and eats it.

Prime-Megs open a space bridge and brings forth a ungodly fucking army of zombies, obliterating everything.

You are making stuff upp that other Megs needs to do to be the greatest, G1 Megs HAS a black hole fusion cannon. Go read his bio.

Therefore G1 Megs would in combat destroy the other megs.

 

Too bad he hasn't done anything.

Too bad that never actually happened.

BW Megatron didn't almost conquer Cybertron, he did. He took over an entire planet by himself. No troops, no magic tricks, just his own mind and physical abilities.
